I'll start:

High waisted trousers with crop tops
Lip liner that goes over the top of cupid's bow

@Bythemillpond

Massive eyebrows and massive butts
My big arse is going nowhere
HeronLanyon · 27/03/2021 06:25

Wall mounted TVs/screens. Partic above a fireplace.
Too high for viewing comfortably in a ‘standard’ sized room.
Cause unnecessary neighbour noise issues when on party wall.
In any sized room completely ruin the focal point of a fireplace/fire.
Just ugly.

Beetlewing · 27/03/2021 06:41

Pronouns
genders
People being 'born in the wrong body'
Being angry
Adhd diagnoses for every idiosyncrasy
The term 'Karens' to describe negatively a woman who is irate.

Threads judging other people's choices.

millenialblush · 27/03/2021 06:53

Locking ourselves indoors to hide from a virus.

DdraigGoch · 27/03/2021 06:54

Anything fake. False eyelashes, fake panelling, AstroTurf...

Gladimnotcampinginthisweather · 27/03/2021 06:56

'Opening up' downstairs rooms.
Having separate rooms downstairs has kept us sane during lockdown.
Helium balloons - because helium is a finite resource, and because even the so called bio degradable ones don't just disappear.

Living your best life.

Just what is that all about Confused

StarlightLady · 27/03/2021 07:01

Jeans which almost come up to your bra.

MrsPworkingmummy · 27/03/2021 07:05

I think we'll develop more of a conscience about the meat and dairy industries.

Tictok

Veneered teeth

Crushed velvet furniture. Antique/classic furniture is timeless, but the cheaper modern interpretations are awful.

@PrintempsAhoy

Cockapoos

Artisanal Gin

Big gas guzzling 4x4s

I think!

Why would I ever be embarrassed of my gorgeous, loving, funny, clever poo crosses Confused
Notanotherhun · 27/03/2021 07:13

This one tho.... This one.... simpering, facile and vomit inducing social media nonsense.

sashh · 27/03/2021 07:14

TWAW hopefully

DdraigGoch · 27/03/2021 07:15

@thepeopleversuswork

Um... I think anyone who is hoping social media or alcohol are a passing trend which will disappear in five years may be disappointed.
Dry January was over as soon as school closures were announced.

Cheap white sliced bread. Cheap milk from a supermarket.

There are loads of new sourdough bakeries springing up near me and almost everyone I know gets milk delivered. So much easier.

I think artisanal bread will be somewhere up the thread or will make an appearance soon.

Lefty sisters who were born in the 60's / 70's / 80's being called 'anti-trans' by precocious millennials.

@Fairyliz

Leggings. If you are 6ft tall with legs up to your armpits you look fabulous. For everyone else it looks ridiculous, just emphasises your rolls of fat and makes your legs look stumpy.
What a horrible comment to make.

Yet again another thread full of judgemental bitchy women! Maybe you will look back on this thread in 5 years and feel embarrassed. And I’ve noticed majority of the comments are towards younger women. What a surprise!

Confusedandshaken · 27/03/2021 07:41

@Finfintytint

Televisions on a chimney breast. Glittery paint ( especially on chimney breast). False panelling in modern homes.
I don't have any glittery paint but I like the sound of it. A glittery front door is my new plan.
MaryIsA · 27/03/2021 07:52

I think the comments about heavy eyebrows and orange paint are similar to the stuff where I look back on my photos from the 80s. We all thought we looked fabulous in a look that would never date unlike those awful 70s photos. In our princess Di haircuts, blue eyeshadow and light pink lipstick with bad lip liner.

Redcrayons · 27/03/2021 07:56

@MarieDelaere

Kemp Snr and younger Kemp Walsh Snr and younger Walsh Whitehall Snr and younger Whitehall all on the telly, far too much
I’m 30 years into my Kemp Snr crush. He ain’t going nowhere

@BitOfFun

I'm sure that most people could see past choices they wouldn't make personally.

This thread has shown that people most definitely can’t!

doadeer · 27/03/2021 08:01

Why would high waisted look go out and be embarrassing? It was in in the 50s, 80s...? Who wants low rise back in case you have a 6 pack?

I think more natural make up look will be favoured away from heavy contour.

Fashion wise I think it's an era when anything goes!

getsomehelp · 27/03/2021 08:05

piercings, especially of the tongue

Watchingpaintdryagain · 27/03/2021 08:09

I hope that we will be amazed and shocked that we allowed our children unfettered use of mobile phones and social media apps.
A little bit like when we look back and can't believe we used to allow smoking indoors and on planes. One day we'll wake up and regulate this and put higher age limits on. Until then, children are exposed to the addictions and dangers. I hope one day we will be very embarrassed that we allowed our children access to this instead of nurturing their play, creativity and physical play.
