Just that really.

I have 5 horses on a track system (paddock paradise). I put a field safe halter and GPS tracker on one horse for 12 hours to see how much he moved. This is how horses are supposed to live; not cooped up in a stable.

I would love a wolf pack, too @BlueEyesWhiteDragon... There is a wolf park in Germany that ie re-wilding wolves (end edjamacating the peoples who think they are all scary like Grimm’s fairytales wolves and eat all the peoples...) If you go at the right time of year you can pat the cubbies. 🥰🥰🥰 (They have LOOOOOTS of different kinds of woolufs too.) Here is my wannabe wooluf. (She has anxiety and is afraid of dogs... and cats... and rain... and wind... but she loves sofas and tv.)

My DSs are miserable arses threatened to move out if I get a wolf pack. I'm not sure that's the horrible threat they think it is .....

THAT is interesting - I had wondered how the set up looked/worked in practice, and was just thinking - "I wish we had an ariel view", and your post came up in front of me!

Meine Deutsch pretty much consists on "Guten tag", "Zwei Bier, bitte", "Komm ins Bett, Liebling" und "Vorsprung durch Technik", (whatever that might mean - I got it off the telly).

Other un-useful telly phrases include "Alles in Ordnung, mein Kapitän" and "Halt" - a mis-spent youth watching "Colditz" was of limited linguistic benefit, alas.

I have always wondered what it meant!

Vorsprung means Head Start, or Ahead (as in a race.) (Studied opera - have German dictionaries. Knew they’d come in handy one day!)

I did German A level, back in the last century, and I used to sing German classical songs, and my guess would have been 'leaping forwards through technology'.

The thing I remember best, of the German I learned, is the prepositions that take the dative - aus, ausser, zeit, von, mit, zu, bei, nach and gegenuber.

For some strange reason, this knowledge has not been terribly useful for me.

Me either... when I lived in Austria, mine was limited to ordering wine and Schnitzel (mit Frites, natürlich - those were the days!) and then snapping at stupid Americans who seemed to have an uncanny knack for locating the only Aussie in Vienna to ask where the kangaroos were. (My Austrian friends thought it was hilarious!)
