Just that really.

I wanted to advise the OP that she can ring the police's non-emergency number & ask for advice. I've done that when it was hard to know what the police might/not be interested in, what they could do, when it would be OK to report something via that line or 999 - that sort of thing. Even if they wouldn't want to get involved, they can advise you what's acceptable for you to say or do if, for example, you were with the horse & A appeared, or if she continues to harass you with messages & demands.

I hope the OP comes back. That was a lovely thread. And to the people moaning about this thread: I don't think it's us who need to find something else to do. You're not interested in a thread? Then move on & find one you do like.

ExtraordinaryQuince · 24/03/2021 16:20

@Cadent

Why would you even want one? Can you not pick up a book if you want a good story instead of badgering the OP of that thread?

Where did I say I wanted one? I asked if there was one. learn to read, love

Surely the fact that you're asking if there's a second thread means you want one?

Um. No. I was asking if there was one as I was wondering ... if there was one.

So true.

If I was OP I think I'd contact yhe police now so it's on record. The ex owner sounds unwell to me.

@Cadent

my ears pricked up at this thread title.

It's the mane topic today it seems.

It was quite a tail, you have to admit. Grin

That was appalling, sorry. I'm going before I'm hoofed out.

I was also very invested in that thread and would be keen to hear of any updates. I hope the OPs horse stays safe and the deranged sounding ex owner doesn't manage to track him down.
It was reassuring to hear that Farmer Dave is super protective of the access lane so at least OP knows no funny business will go unnoticed.
The lack of reply to OP's final text message seemed a bit unnerving considering the woman has messaged her hundreds of times previously... but perhaps she's mortified by having it pointed out that many messages was tantamount to harassment and has bowed out gracefully now.

BlondehairRedlips · 24/03/2021 16:46

She should put an electric fence up.

steppemum · 24/03/2021 16:47

OK, hands up, I want a second thread.

It was a nice chatty thread. I learnt lots too, and I am now getting pop ups on my phone for tracking systems (I searched for them on my laptop, I always find that a little freaky)

I'd like to find out what happens too.

RootyT00t · 24/03/2021 16:50

@ExtraordinaryQuince

Wow, bad tempered people on here today. Was a simple question folks. Hmm
Eh, you were pretty rude first.
SeaShoreGalore · 24/03/2021 16:51

I want one! Grin

If OP comes here though, I hope they start their own thread rather than posting here, as otherwise we won't see their posts in green [selfish]

kittykarate · 24/03/2021 16:52

I mean, I'd like an update, even if it's only "Phew, she's texted back OK". On the other hand, I'd like to nuke this thread from orbit if this becomes the new thread because I won't be able to spot the posts from the original OP.

ApplesPearsAndCrumble · 24/03/2021 16:54

I want a 2nd thread too!

I need to know more about T, A, C, Farmer Dave and the Shitlands.

[Farmer Dave and The Shitlands sound like a band that plays at weddings]

ExtraordinaryQuince · 24/03/2021 16:55

Where?

OP posts:
ExtraordinaryQuince · 24/03/2021 16:56

That was to @RootyT00t. I wasn't rude until I had had PP being rude to me.

Meh, ignore them. Something's rattling a few people's cages this afternoon.
RootyT00t · 24/03/2021 17:06

@ExtraordinaryQuince

Where?
When you said learn to read love?
Maverickess · 24/03/2021 17:14

@SheldonesqueIsUnwell

Someone’s left the gate open to the cunty field again. Wink
This is priceless 😃😂
HeronLanyon · 24/03/2021 17:20

Well i want one and wish to thank op ! Not only to keep track of what happens but it was also quite fascinating as a non horsey person to learn about track systems, snoring horses etc etc.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 24/03/2021 17:20

maverickess

This has long been used on mumsnet. I cannot accept any praise.

Plus I probably was the first one out of said field Grin

BigButtons · 24/03/2021 17:31

I was just looking for the same thing. I have no particular interest in horses per se but have been following the original thread gently over the past few days and I love a good yarn.

Everythingiswonderful · 24/03/2021 17:35

@BlueEyesWhiteDragon I hope Farmer Dave & the rest of the group chat do send A 20 miles away if she is the one driving around stopping at every field.

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 24/03/2021 18:37

I haven't made one because I've got nothing to report although I debated it just to continue chatting horses :)

Noone else has seen anything suspicious so its likely Farmer Dave being overly cautious. He's a good egg though for all he acts like Victor Meldrew! I've been down the yard this afternoon as have taken T out for a delightful hack in the sunshine and so noones been around that I've seen. I have shut them down the bottom track though whilst I ponder what to do longer term.

Farmer Dave and the Shitlands sounds like an amazing band. I imagine them being very Wurzels like!

LaLoba · 24/03/2021 18:53

BlueEyes, I enjoyed your thread so much. Not for the crazy ex owner who is making your life difficult, of course, but for the horse chat. I know nothing about horses, but like them. Every time we see Shitlands, my husband laughs at me for wanting a couple, because apparently, I “always go for the little fuckers”. And I’ve gone down a google rabbit hole reading about tracking, so that was fun.
