So far mine has, stood on the mat looking at me, then looking at the door. I've opened the door , cat looked at me as if I was mad and trotted to his basket! Stood by his food and looked at me, miawed, then started eating. As soon as I leave the room, he stops eating and walks back to the bloody door!

Mice. Daily. Not dead nice, which I can deal with, but sprightly alive mice which they like to watch run around. (Top tip - a shoebox with a hole in it is a good place for mousey to hide then you can decant him outside).

Walking across my face in the night.

Lying on DH's feet when we have sex 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

1starwars2 · 24/03/2021 17:42

Currently miaowing desperately for food while refusing to eat her favourite Felix.

Glittertwins · 24/03/2021 17:49

4:30am alarm call. If I don't respond or try to ignore her, she gently flexes her claws on my jaw.

Glittertwins · 24/03/2021 17:52

@MistressoftheDarkSide

I have been known to gently nudge a cat trying to expel a furball from carpet to hard surface if close enough.......
We keep the back door unlocked to launch her out when she starts burping or retching with a furball. Always on the new carpet, never the hard floors!
HideousKinky · 24/03/2021 17:53

We have to shut him in the kitchen at night because if we don't he comes running through the house at 3am miaowing loudly & desperately like the world is ending and waking everybody up

Ellmau · 24/03/2021 17:56

Every time I go to the loo I am followed. They beg for dreamies (which I keep next to the basin for emergency bugger off, I'm on the throne treats)

You realise you made a rod for your own back there...

Dalamalama · 24/03/2021 17:58

She comes onto my bed at 2 am yapping away, if I ignore her she puts her little paws on my face until she wakes me. She then miawws to go under the quilt with me but won't go under unless both my hands are under as well, because only stroking her with one hand isn't good enough!

I locked her downstairs last night as I needed sleep.

She also leaves a trail of socks and knickers all over the house.

Love her.

Idontbelieveit12 · 24/03/2021 17:59

One of mine overeats then immediately regurgitates it....usually on the rug or the sofa 🤬

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2021 18:03

@MichelleofzeResistance Is your boy a Bengal?.

Tootsey11 · 24/03/2021 18:22

Finds the tissue box, lifts tissues out with teeth and rips them to shreds.

In the middle of the night rips the bags of dry food to access food inside.

Scratches the bedroom door at 3am to be let out, then when I get up they run and hide under the sofa. Back to bed, then repeat.

Trying to deal with 10 different cat personalities is fun!

MichelleofzeResistance · 24/03/2021 18:22

How did you guess?! Grin

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/03/2021 18:25

We had one too.

Soubriquet · 24/03/2021 18:27

Mine likes to sleep on the bed with me at night

No bother.

However, if she wants to go out the room when the door is closed, she will claw at the carpet. I don’t hear that, so she turns her attention to the bed and frantically claws it to wake me up

If that doesn’t work (which is rare) she will pounce on me to wake me up Hmm

missymoomoomoomoomoo · 24/03/2021 18:36

Breaks into the bathroom to steal cotton buds

Wakes me up by claws under duvet and attacking my feet OR getting inside the duvet cover

Walking on banisters like he knows he doesnt pay his own vet bills

Attacking my legs in Zoom calls

Trying to bat the loo roll out of my hands when I am wiping my bum

Getting behind the washing machine and unhooking the drain hose except I dont notice until the kitchen floods

Pulling down any curtain and rod on a whim

There are many more

What does your Dcat do to drive you insane ( light hearted)
Soubriquet · 24/03/2021 18:38

Oh this is my favourite (not)

If she hasn’t been able to get into the bedroom for bed time she will sleep on the landing, usually in a sulk.

When I get up to go to the toilet she will watch me go.

As I then return to the bedroom, she makes a mad dash into the room. That’s fine

What’s not fine, is she will the suddenly turn around and swipe my ankles for daring to shut her out!

It usually isn’t my fault in the first place! I offer her to come in and she isn’t ready for bed yet

I end up with lovely scratches on my ankles because of her sometimes

Good job I love the fluffy bastard.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 24/03/2021 18:39

Was just coming on to warn about avocados not being great for cats after one of my Ex Dsds kitten enthusiastically ate a quantity and was fine about 15 years ago. At the time I googled out of idle curiosity and was terrified to discover that it was a big No No. However, having just re-checked to make sure I was right cos old, it seems the internet is now divided somewhat re avocados for cats and dogs. Looks like small amounts are ok though.

Just a heads up for millennial felines...... not sure about the toast though.

Theunamedcat · 24/03/2021 18:46

Sits/stands in front of tv strokes the TV and turns the volume up and down and even off walks over me with cold paws at 4am

DingDongDenny · 24/03/2021 18:51

Mine knows when I'm giving a presentation on Zoom - then either meows loudly, or brings in a mouse, or best one yet, a live bird which then flew around the room

Mind you, I'm sure its more entertaining for folk than powerpoint

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 24/03/2021 18:53

My girl waits until everyone is in bed then she will scratch the stairs, run up and down them like a idiot, then miaow as loudly as possible outside my sons door with a toy she has brought up to play with him!

LittleMissPeggySue · 24/03/2021 19:12

She will drink out of my water glass if I leave it I attended. I take a glass to the bedroom with me every night and there's a good chance I won't be able to trust it by the morning.

She demands food a good few hours before their dinner time and when I go to the toilet, she'll come in and wind herself around my ankles. Then he'll join in, get too close to her and she'll twat him.

She sits next to the cat flap when it's pissing down and looks at us like we can do something about it.

He will deliberately try and piss her off when she's asleep to the point where she takes great offence and the fur flies.

He brings in live creatures and just wanders off. I ended the day that my dad died by chasing a baby mouse around my hallway and dining room to try and save the little twat from the moggies. It was sort of ironic.

He sits on my notebook when I'm working and has started shoving his arsehole into the camera on calls.

I love the little gits though, they're lush

midsomermurderess · 24/03/2021 19:15

He runs his claws, gently, through my hair to wake me up in the morning to feed him.

SaxonRock · 24/03/2021 19:26

My Dcat wakes me up in the wee small hours by nudging my hands with her nose so she can have a cuddle and be made a fuss of.

On a daily basis she scratches incessantly at the carpet. Also climbs outside the upstairs window and meows until I help her back in.

Love her dearly.

SaxonRock · 24/03/2021 19:27

She takes sips from my coffee only when she thinks I'm not looking.

PenguindreamsofDraco · 24/03/2021 19:28

Spends an age padding around on my chest at about 4 30am before settling down and then just as I start dozing off again, does a comedy legs on springs SPRONGGGG about a foot into the air and hares downstairs.
And then ignores me for the entire day for disturbing his sleep.

MoonCatcher · 24/03/2021 19:36

Today cat sat herself on my work laptop keyboard 3 times when I was trying to work. I had to switch on my own laptop, open up a bird video, which she watched before falling asleep on that keyboard for 2 hours and leaving me in peace.
On previous occasions she has done this and sent emails to archive, and switched off the camera using an F key (took weeks to work out what happened).
