I am glad, I think this was the right decision and I didn't agree with his comments.

Mental health is a huge issue and I think he took it too far.

OP posts:
HmmmmmmInteresting · 10/03/2021 17:12

I think @kournikovax is Mrs Morgan 🤣
It's her children we should be worried about

RootyT00t · 10/03/2021 17:28

@LakieLady

*Why on Earth would you assault him?

Tipping a pint over someone's head would be just that. How bizarre*

Assault would be no more than the offensive misogynist twat deserves, but you're quite right, it would be a bizarre waste of perfectly good beer.

If I see him again, I'll knee him in the bollocks instead.

What is your opinion on the thread where everyone said kick her in the cunt is misognystic?
DioneTheDiabolist · 10/03/2021 17:35

I feel a bit wick for Piers Morgan's wife. His obsession with MM must be mortifying for her.Sad

Redrosesandsunsets · 10/03/2021 17:37

Many here don’t like PM obviously and fair enough you have your reasons, and I’m not wading into MM or mental health issues, but as an individual PM speaks truth and is one of the good guys, so yeah I am not throwing that understanding away all because of the interview with Oprah. I wish Harry and Meghan the best of luck and truly hope they get their peace and freedom to succeed and move on. I wish the royal family all the best to uphold their traditions and move on l, but I won’t agree about PM. He’s one of the good ones who will tell the truth and so I wish him the best of luck too.

Frazzledd · 10/03/2021 17:40

Well I'm going to miss him....but I also enjoy reading the Daily Mail - not because I like either but it gives you a realistic insight into what the wankers really think. I'd rather have them watched and read than hiding in the shadows.....

DioneTheDiabolist · 10/03/2021 17:44

I actually have always had a soft spot for PM and share some of his opinions.Blush However his obsession with, and bullying of MM, for years, has shown that he is certainly not a good guy.

itsgettingwierd · 10/03/2021 17:52

I've always enjoyed watching PM.

Loved his serial killer series and thought the one he did of the psychopath was brilliant.

I've also enjoyed the fact he's not afraid to challenge.

I've disposed the way he's bullied MM and dispose the way he treats woman.

The past 6 months Ive expressed concern repeatedly on threads about him that he's not well (the irony!) and is unravelling and becoming about the shouting and being right and not about the message and challenging the status quo.

It's totally acceptable to have enjoyed and respected someone's actions in the past or parts of their actions and then to be totally for the fact they were sacked/resigned over others.

We all make mistakes. There are consequences to actions. His actions went too far and so the consequences were extreme.

It's a history he's not unfamiliar with with regards employment!

RootyT00t · 10/03/2021 18:18

I've never minded piers, but he's wrong.

Absolutely 💯

I can now start watching GMB again, as his ranting and constant attacks on MM were the reason I stopped watching. As well as his overbearing manner towards guests and Suzanna...it was very uncomfortable to watch.

He couldn't accept being ghosted and goes on about how she ghosts everyone...including her Ex husband..why would she need to be in touch with him. Her sister...who's jealous and put her dad up to that staged photo shot...her dad who embarrassed her and betrayed her.

She has every reason to ghost them and it's none of his business... but he was like a dog with a bone...like the obsessed Ex who couldn't move on.

It's very sad that he became so vicious towards someone who obviously had to cut him off because of his career and who he is and not because of him as an individual.

I agree with this - he's one of the few willing to stand up for women and ensure women don't lose their safe spaces so whilst I disagree with his opinion on MM and often what he says, I do hope he continues to have a voice.

What's the saying - 'I might not agree with what you say, but I'll defend your right to say it' - I think that sums up my view on him.

lioncitygirl · 10/03/2021 19:43

I disagree with the things he’s said towards MM - the sheer volume is bizarre - but I don’t agree that he should have left, he does speak up and defends women’s rights to spaces etc etc.

Defends women's rights to spaces but is happy to invade Meghan's space? Interesting.

Said with no irony whatsoever

RootyT00t · 10/03/2021 19:53

But allowing him to have a voice is allowing him to disrespect women's spaces.

Why on earth are we encouraging him on the grounds of feminism when his beef with MM is that she cut him off.

phoenixrosehere · 10/03/2021 20:43

I think it was his obsession with Meghan that really took it over the line. Utterly disproportionate and unhinged. Sometimes he’s tweeting 60-70 posts about her a day and he’s written hundreds of articles about her in the Daily Mail. She’s not a politician or someone who influences policy or someone who has committed a crime or anything like that! Why the utter vitriol and extreme hatred?! He’s lost the plot.

Not only that, she has said next to nothing about him and I think that’s what really gets him. He’s been wanting a reaction out of her, he wasn’t getting one and was able to moan about her for years. He’s welcome to say what he wants but like most things there are consequences.

Saying she’s making it up and he doesn’t believe her after spending years criticising her, during a time when many people are struggling with their mental health due to Covid and ITV is working with mental health charities was an idiotic move and he deserved to get sacked. Most organisations would do the same under the circumstances.

Yet also expected Charlotte to parade her legs on tv and commented on her mini skirt. He made her feel uncomfortable and her annoyance was tangible.

What about Charlottes right to a safe space at work and to dress how she likes?

StormzyinaTCup · 10/03/2021 21:01

I disagree with the things he’s said towards MM - the sheer volume is bizarre ........

Where MM is concerned, his behaviour is more than a bit odd, very unprofessional and he comes across almost a bit unhinged to the extent that, tinfoil hat on, I'm actually wondering if he is privy to something that we, the general public, don't know of.

I don't usually have a problem with his style, I might not always agree with him and lot of people were singing his praises when he was ripping Matt Hancock a new one but this is just odd.

Carolina24 · 10/03/2021 21:06

I don’t think he should have left for airing views. I don’t think we should live in a society where view that differ from our own should be silenced.

Who silenced him? He stropped off of his own accord because he couldn’t bear to have someone stand up to him.

Agreed.

You need to swiftly re-evaluate your critical thinking skills if you’ve somehow come to the conclusion that Piers Morgan is any kind of ally to women. He has repeatedly shown himself to be a disgusting misogynist who can’t help but be hateful to women.

Emeraldshamrock · 10/03/2021 21:13

Not a chance, if he was privy to something juicy about MM he'd be shouting from the rooftops.
He became obsessed almost deranged.

StormzyinaTCup · 10/03/2021 21:21

Not a chance, if he was privy to something juicy about MM he'd be shouting from the rooftops.

Not necessarily if his source was reliable and he'd given his word,

He became obsessed almost deranged.

But why this extreme behaviour, it can't just be about being ghosted, he strikes me as the sort who would, if ghosted, stick two fingers up and say 'your loss' (because he is arrogant) and move on.

DioneTheDiabolist · 10/03/2021 21:25

But he didn't shrug off his "ghosting", he has waged a vendetta against MM and yes his behaviour has been deranged.

@lioncitygirl, your enemy's enemy is not always your friend.

Mittens030869 · 10/03/2021 21:35

I’ve hardly ever watched Good Morning Britain, as I watch the BBC News. And the times when I have had a look, he’s put me right off, as he is obnoxious particularly about Meghan. I might watch it now he’s gone!

I agree with PPs that his series of interviews with serial killers was excellent, though. So he is talented.

It does make me think there could be something wrong with his own mental health.

Emeraldshamrock · 10/03/2021 21:57

Not necessarily if his source was reliable and he'd given his word,
Nah his pride was hurt, here is an interview he done 2 years ago in Ireland

She more than likely realised he was a mouthpiece when she met him in person, they once.

It does make me think there could be something wrong with his own mental health.
Me too, I'm not on Twitter apparently friends told him to calm down a few times and he was adamant he'd keep it out, like her Dad was too, thinking of their own feelings.
