I am glad, I think this was the right decision and I didn't agree with his comments.

Mental health is a huge issue and I think he took it too far.

YABU. We need voices that we disagree with.

YABU. We need voices that we disagree with.
Well we'll always have those.

What we DON'T need is to give a massive platform to utter shits, thereby normalising their bullying, misogyny and racism.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 10/03/2021 12:13

Agree with @OlympicProcrastinator.

CaffeineAndCrochet · 10/03/2021 12:19

So Meghan was friendly with Piers up until she spent two hours in his company. Does he not wonder - even a tiny bit - if something he did or said in those two hours would have made her ghost him.

LakieLady · 10/03/2021 12:22

*Why on Earth would you assault him?

Tipping a pint over someone's head would be just that. How bizarre*

Assault would be no more than the offensive misogynist twat deserves, but you're quite right, it would be a bizarre waste of perfectly good beer.

If I see him again, I'll knee him in the bollocks instead.

Foxyloxy1plus1 · 10/03/2021 12:23

He became so used to shouting down everyone else and spouting his own opinions, that he became impossible to watch or listen to. Simply shouting at people doesn’t make them agree with you, or take you seriously.

When someone, in a calm manner puts forward an alternative viewpoint, with which he cannot argue, he throws his toys out of the pram.

He is a misogynist, a bully and a hypocrite. He is a talentless fool and the sooner he retreats from the screen the better. What an example to set his children. I can’t imagine why his wife, who appears to be sensible, is still with him.

Emeraldshamrock · 10/03/2021 12:27

Why on Earth would you assault him?
I'm surprised he hasn't been assaulted with a pen or mug before, it's exteremly frustrating trying to discuss/debate with someone who won't allow you speak.
I'll be honest if it was me getting shouted at in his interview I'd poke him with a pen.

Emeraldshamrock · 10/03/2021 12:29

If I see him again, I'll knee him in the bollocks instead. Brilliant 👏
I hope you're keeping well @Lakielady after year.

Emeraldshamrock · 10/03/2021 12:30

*this year.

SandyY2K · 10/03/2021 12:39

He's been harassing Megan because she ghosted him on a date years ago and got with Harry.

It wasn’t a date as such...not in the romantic sense anyway. It was more of a meet up....he was married.

He's obsessed with her and over the last 3 years he's constantly made personal horrible comments about her.

I don't necessarily think it was anything he did or said to her that made her ghost him, it's because of who he is and it's more likely that she was instructed/strongly advised not to communicate with him once she and Harry became an item for reasons of the RF confidentiality and security.

He took it personally like a jilted lover and hasn't been able to get over it ever since...he's continued to be bitter about it. It's embarrassing...Lord knows what his wife thinks about his obsession with MM.

Imagine if anyone of us was actually in a relationship with someone famous who had such a large TV and media presence like he does and the relationship ended.....then they used every opportunity to be so disparaging about you and assassinate your character to the public.

All his comments about her were biased because How dare she ghost me the mighty Piers Morgan
Get over it and move on FGS

seepingweeping · 10/03/2021 12:39

He's a wee dick. I'm glad he's off the screen.

Inpersuitofhappiness · 10/03/2021 12:45

The one time he couldn't shout someone down he quit. I think he's shown himself to be a bit of a twat. I don't really give a shit about Meghan but he's been bordering obsessive about her since she didn't return his calls.

HmmmmmmInteresting · 10/03/2021 14:22

He's an unhinged stalker. He needs a psychiatric evaluation and a place in an institution for the criminally insane.

MoiraNotRuby · 10/03/2021 14:35

I can't stand him, he has no integrity, I don't understand after the phone hacking scandal why anyone with a shred of decent would even give him the time of day. It must be so hard for Milly Dowler's family seeing such a scumbag getting all these high profile jobs.

I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire

@HmmmmmmInteresting

How about if he wasn't?
Morgoth · 10/03/2021 16:36

I think it was his obsession with Meghan that really took it over the line. Utterly disproportionate and unhinged. Sometimes he’s tweeting 60-70 posts about her a day and he’s written hundreds of articles about her in the Daily Mail. She’s not a politician or someone who influences policy or someone who has committed a crime or anything like that! Why the utter vitriol and extreme hatred?! He’s lost the plot.

itsgettingwierd · 10/03/2021 16:40

That clip about being ghosted and it hurting explains more about where Alex comment came from yesterday about needing to accept she is allowed to cut contact. He obviously has had conversations about this we haven't necessarily heard.

itsgettingwierd · 10/03/2021 16:42

@OlympicProcrastinator

I don’t think he should have left for airing views. I don’t think we should live in a society where view that differ from our own should be silenced. I think it’s ok for him to say that he does not personally believe she is being truthful whether that’s about her mental health or the Royal Family. Unless the views expressed are extreme hate or total falsehood, or as in the case of PP it is inconsistent with your profession (Dr telling a patient she is attention seeking) I detest cancel culture. I want all views to be expressed and then challenged robustly in a calm and civil way.

I do however think he should go because what Piers did went way beyond that. I had to switch off because I couldn’t hear anyone else’s point of view. His was the only view, shouted out by him over and over again, interrupting everyone else and he was overly emotionally invested. It became uncomfortable to watch, his behaviour seemed obsessive and deranged. That’s not debate. That’s not conversation.

He looks like he needs help.

Totally agree. I've been saying the same for months.

He almost became anxious at a guest giving an answer that would prove his position wrong or make people question it.

I think that's why he cut over people. Fear. And fear led to loss of control.

Not uncommon in people with narcissistic tendencies.

LakieLady · 10/03/2021 16:44

No, I'm fine thanks, @kournikovax, but your concern is appreciated. Grin

DioneTheDiabolist · 10/03/2021 16:49

Are you unwell @kournikovax?

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 10/03/2021 17:02

@kournikovax I'd love to knee him in the bollocks as well. I'm concerned about what this could mean for my DS. Should I self-refer to Social Services, or go the whole hog and brick myself into an alcove somewhere?

I've been wanting to knee him in the bollocks for years now, so I dread to think what support poor DS must need Sad

DioneTheDiabolist · 10/03/2021 17:07

@kournikovax seems to think that everyone she responds to is "unwell".Confused

HmmmmmmInteresting · 10/03/2021 17:11

@kournikovax I agree it'd be bizarre to tip a pint over him, because that would be a waste of a pint.

I'd probably just tell him exactly what I think of him. Seeing as he values free speech so much. I'd tell him what a fragile whiny man-baby snowflake he is. That's the PG stuff anyway Smile
