I think it was. Nobody seemed that fussed when he walked off, nobody asked him to come back. He walked off, then came back, that was it.

The walking off was all about Piers and his fragile ego. He had to come back to interview the Father of the year, so he had no choice.

Unfortunately, the mere existence of this thread tells Morgan's employers everything they need to know about his ability to pull in viewers, which in turn impacts directly on the prices they're able to charge for the commercials that are aired during the breaks. If people don't like him - and I freely admit that I can't stand him - they have merely to stop watching the show. If enough people did just that, he'd disappear as quickly as if he'd been vaporised.

PM doesn't challenge people, he attacks them.

I did wonder but he married Celia Walden in 2010 and met Meghan in 2016 if my Googling is correct. He's still married to CW so presumably she'd be a bit WTF about that possibility?

I don’t know why she’s still there. Imagine being belittled by him day after day. How embarrassing. He constantly talks over her.

Not a fan of MM at all but Piers Morgan’s behaviour is revolting. It’s actually embarrassing watching him rant about her. Would put all my money on betting he thought she was going to shag him and his ego just couldn’t take it when she cut him off. He makes my stomach turn.

Yes he is a weatherman but comes across as more intelligent and fair minded than PM!

ITV couldn’t give a shit about complaints and people going on social media complaining about piers. It leads to ratings and headlines. The only way they would ever do anything is if Piers starts to cost them commercial income - ie people stop watching therefore affecting viewing figures or advertisers start pulling their ads.

And the way Susannah Reid is complicit in it sitting there with her faux-outrage at Piers - playing the ‘good cop’ is really disappointing. She has totally sold out.
