Their later children were granted it by exception, by the Queen, even though no entitled to it officially. The expectation that - given that the three existing great grandchildren of the monarch, only one of whom was entitled to the title of prince or princess, but despite that had all received it from birth - the other great grandchildren would be treated the same was not unreasonable.

I agree. Breaking protocol for Charlotte and Louis, but not for Archie, snacks of favouritism. The fact that C&L will be children of the monarchs In God knows how many years is irrelevant, it should have been an all or no one situation.

@mainsfed that Queen also has five other untitled great grandchildren. Do you think it's favouritism against them as well as Harry? Why should Archie get a title and not Savannah, Isla. Mia, Lena and August?

I don't think being a fame hungry chancer AND someone who has experienced racism and became severely depressed are mutually exclusive and so I choose to be supportive of her, no matter her past motives and actions.

And BTW those other 5 great grandchildren are all white

No there are 10 children of the monarch - yes all are white but they do not all have the same tittle. The same will apply to the grandchildren of the next monarch

@TheWayOfTheWorld I understood the same as you, the letters patent which make Charlotte and Louis princess/Prince were issued in 2012 before even George's was born. A large part of the reason was because had Charlotte been born first she'd have no right to be Princess evrn though the successful changes would make her the future queen.

It's been said often that Charles wants the royal family slimmed down when he succeeds. Removing existing titles would be unlikely so the only place he could prune would be within his own line - most likely by making it so that only the children of a current or future monarch would be prince(ss). His desire to slim down has been talked about for a long time (well before Meghan) as had his irritation with B&E being princesses - given that B&E are the equivalent of Archie it seems feasible he has long had the intention that Harry's children would be in line for title pruning.

Now of course if he tries to do this he'll be accused of racism

Security is provided (and funded) by the Metropolitan Police (not the Sovereign Grant) and it is reserved for senior working royals who are based in the U.K

And former prime ministers, whichever force area they reside in.

It’s very difficult to give an opinion without hearing both sides and a real insight into their daily lives, prior to leaving.
I feel for Harry, he comes across as a genuine guy. Meghan I think she comes across as a down to earth person.
However, my opinion is what i see on the outside.

Let’s not pretend this is a about anything other than these two entitled, petulant individuals throwing their toys out of their pram. All because their kid did not get a title, awww diddums. As for the lack of mental health care, what did she actually say? Did they stop her seeing a doctor? Or did they stop her checking into a trendy celeb rehab facility. He is pissed because he couldn’t have taxpayer funded security while he lived abroad, oh how inhumane. These two are so embarrassingly entitled and self indulgent that it’s insulting.

But it’s not irrelevant - it’s literally the exact reason Charlotte and Louis were made exceptions to the rule!

Personally, I should add, with them leaving the UK, they should have known that their security, would no longer be paid for by UK taxpayers.
