Animals are not only sentient beings, but most are intelligent in some cases highly so.

Shouldn't we stop using phrases such as 'horseface', referring to people we consider ugly as 'dogs' and as this council leader called a Senedd member, a 'cow'.

Can't use genitals, can't use animals... Organs then? There is a thing in my native language when we call people "an appendix (the intestine)" when they are clumsy and mess things up

Don't the Dutch use diseases? We could call them Covid.

I think it is a problem that quite often the insults are female animals but I can't be worrying about the animals' feelings.

I mean the counsellor in the story shouldn't have made any sort of personal attack insult, but if he was going to, it doesn't matter that he picked an animal. Maybe it does matter that he picked a female animal though, whereas bullish would have meant something different entirely?.

I agree, even racists use animals as an insult. Nothing good come out of it.

And animals are creatures who can feel hurt and pain and they don’t deserve people treating like they are nothing.

Donkeydonut · 06/03/2021 19:29

@DogsAreShit

hashtag horseface callout
What?
mineofuselessinformation · 06/03/2021 19:29

I just scrolled back to see if your username is DrDolittle......

Ludo19 · 06/03/2021 19:32

@PattyPan, where I'm from in Scotland calling someone a cow is akin to calling someone a wh*re. For context so yeah its a massive slur on your character

SchrodingersImmigrant · 06/03/2021 19:32

He was talking about a woman so it kind of goes stogether. I doubt he would call a guy cow. That's where cock or maybe a donkey comes to play. Maybe worm? Plenty to choose from

HOkieCOkie · 06/03/2021 19:34

My horse is always telling the cat how’ fed up he is with ppl calling each other horse face! He’s so done! The cat Agee’s!

Georgyporky · 06/03/2021 19:34

I object to "cunt" being used as an insult, when "willy" is not.

Dick is an insult. And dickhead. So we could theoretically use clitoris as well🤔 "Oh my god you are such an oversensitive clitoris...."
Talkwhilstyouwalk · 06/03/2021 19:37

Wow!! Well as a human it is offensive being referred to as an animal, so you can't really change that...

I agree with not insulting people where at all possible, but referring to someone as, for example "daft as a bat" is much kinder than referring to them as a fucking idiot!

Isabelle1143 · 06/03/2021 19:38

Well this is next level triggered, I seriously wonder how people like this get on in this world

SchrodingersImmigrant · 06/03/2021 19:39

It's "smart as an earlobe" now😂

Dillybear · 06/03/2021 19:40

@RaininSummer

Intelligent as animals are, I don't think even if they heard these insults, they would understand or, alternatively, they may also think someone looks horse faced but are too polite to say.

I want off this stupid planet.

jcyclops · 06/03/2021 19:45

Someone called me a cow and I was terribly offended, because I actually looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp.

Meowchickameowmeow · 06/03/2021 19:50

You're shitting us, right?

Blueberries0112 · 06/03/2021 19:51

Those who don’t care, can I call you a dog or cow since you won’t be offended?
