Mine are:

Being exceptionally good at slicing bread (straight, even slices every time, even on squishy, unevenly shaped loaves)

Uncannily accurate at guessing the time when I haven’t looked at a clock for hours - I’m never more than a few minutes out.

Tell me the things you can do that are not that impressive!

I'm very speedy when it comes to hanging washing on the line. I'm very good at juggling

muddledsheep · 06/03/2021 13:15

Blowing up balloons! 🎈

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 06/03/2021 13:18

@CrayonInThreeBits

Oh, and I can see spelling/punctuation errors in a page of text without reading it — they kind of stand out, as though they're in an almost-imperceptibly different colour.
Oh, me too! Although I think I'm losing it a little now - my spelling etc. always used to be impeccable too but suddenly, with the onset of menopause, I'm finding that I'm accidentally using the wrong "to" or "there" and it's REALLY frustrating!!
Chanjer · 06/03/2021 13:20

Standing up and sitting down without using my hands

Curlygirl06 · 06/03/2021 13:21

I watched a youtube video a million times to learn how to fold a fitted sheet!

My super power is that I can write with both hands and my number work is better left handed than right. (I'm right handed)

I can work per centegages so quickly that I have to stop and check that I've actually got it right, as well as doing mental arithmetic at speed.

I can speed read, picking out the important info, and pick up spelling mistakes and grammar.

I can remember bank account numbers, phone numbers, little details that people have told me but I'm rubbish at names.

Balanced against this, I'm always walking into doors, beds, coffee tables etc and I can get lost in a phone box! Swings and roundabouts.

CrayonInThreeBits · 06/03/2021 13:22

Thumb same, but it's my bloody phone and me not looking at what it's written before I tap send Grin

Greeneyedminx · 06/03/2021 13:47

Not me, but my mum...
Could lob a hairbrush, shoe, remote control at our heads from across the room/hallway, when we were kids and being brats, aka fighting and arguing with each other, and always score a direct hit!! Mostly without looking at us 🤣😂
Usually resolved the argument or fight in seconds, not that I ever did that with my kids!!

YoComoManzanas · 06/03/2021 13:51

Amazing ability to become invisible/ overlooked. Especially when driving a grey car or minding my own business. I would make a good spy.
Ability to look so competent and knowledgeable that I don't get given vital information. Eg new primary school starter pack type stuff.

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 06/03/2021 14:01

I am absolutely amazing at headstands. If the Olympics gave medals for those instead of all those show-offy flick-flacks somersault thingies, I’d have a gold medal.

I can also still put the palms of my hands on the ground when touching my toes.

Oh, and I’m a rather overweight 48 year old. I’m fabulous, darling Wink

Bedforme · 06/03/2021 14:12

I have very good hearing. I’m also good at codeword puzzles so try to do them in my head without filling them in so someone else can do it as well.

BrownEyedGirl80 · 06/03/2021 14:15

I can recite the alphabet backwards at a super sonic speed

rosegoldwatcher · 06/03/2021 14:17

I can sand (furniture) for hours without getting bored.

I can also make macaron (the proper almondy french ones - not the far easier macaroons.)

Confusedandshaken · 06/03/2021 14:23

@Eruss

I subconsciously read everything around me (signs, posters etc) Sounds helpful but it gets a bit frustrating when I know I’ve read something but can’t place it in real time
I do this too. It's easy in English because I don't know I'm doing it but it can be tiring overseas because my brain is trying to translate while I read. That's why I like holidays on countries that don't share an alphabet with us.

I m generally untalented like you lot.

But I can organise facts and arguments and write persuasive letters - complaints, requests, business cases - succinct, clear but with the right amount of detail, where needed. Gets results.

thosetalesofunexpected · 06/03/2021 15:08

@Breakfastburrito

I am natural "knowing" at how to raise significant money for fundraising for different charties,in a short space of time,sometimes it puzzles a few people, on how I do it

i have dyscalica learning impediment.

I am also pretty good at guessing what time a official visitor's will come to investigate.

I am also good at sensing picking up instinctly how someone is feeling ,before they even tell me.

Bella43 · 06/03/2021 15:09

The meaning of Shakespeare plays are transparent to me. I can read and understand them so easily. In school I always found it strange why no-one else could 'see it.' It was as if the words spoke to me. Bizarre.

littlebillie · 06/03/2021 15:28

Sense of direction

CatOnAHotTinHoof · 06/03/2021 15:42

im realy gud at speling, and, punkshoeashun

TheLumpySofaCushion · 06/03/2021 16:00

@amymel2016

I can read a book/look at my phone for hours as a passenger in a car and not get sick
This is genuinely an amazing power that I am very jealous of.
TheLumpySofaCushion · 06/03/2021 16:04

I can talk to any stranger about anything. Does that count?

TheDogsMother · 06/03/2021 16:22

I can fold fitted sheets and I make fabulous scrambled egg. Also have an uncanny knack of avoiding dangerous events by a matter of minutes or a last minute change of plans Confused

ivfbabymomma1 · 06/03/2021 16:22

I can spot film errors instantly. Drives my DH mad lol

AmelieTaylor · 06/03/2021 16:28

@WankmasterBastardDeLaShithead

I used to roll perfect joints.
Now that's a skill. I can fold fitted sheets, raise my eyebrow & a bunch of other stuff listed here, but I'd swap them for yours! (But I'd need a hydroponic set up too)
BearSoFair · 06/03/2021 16:47

Recognising songs from hearing a couple of seconds. Unless I decide to go on the Hit List show it's not likely to help me in life!
