GP won't give me second dose of vaccine,aibu here ?

I was a full time carer for my mum up until October last year.
I received a text saying book my vaccine.
I rang up surgery and told them I was no longer a carer and the man told me that as I had received the link I could still book my apt if I could make any of the time slots.
I booked my apt.
I rang up to ask how it would work with my second dose and the receptionist said as I wasn't now listed as a carer I wouldn't be getting the link through for second vaccine.
Aibu to be annoyed here ?
How will I get my second jab ?
It will be months now.
Aibu to complain?
I rang to do the right thing and be honest and it was the receptionist (male ) who told me to book.

How odd that you are unable to read the previous posts which say this is normal. How odd that other people have a different experience to you

How odd that you feel the need to sneer at strangers.

If you book via the NHS service or website then you get both appointments at the same time.

If you book via your GP or a third party your GP is using to book on their behalf, you may get both or you may get your first and be told your next one will be booked in the coming weeks.

I think you have been given wrong advice. My understanding is that those people who have had the first will be called by the surgery for the second
I am NHS staff, had my first dose after Christmas at a GP surgery in the area I work in (not my own GP) and have no date yet for second

Sorry my post should have said "called by the surgery that administered the first jab for the second"

@oohmamama omg. How rude are you?! Embarrassed for her?! Get over yourself!!

There was a thread on here last week from someone who just got called for the vaccine. Hadn’t been a carer or anything and nearly everyone told her to just get it.

OP if you’d written this tomorrow you’d have gotten totally different answers.

No, sneer at someone who is insinuating that the op is wrong because they haven't already had their second jab booked. It's endless people deciding to doubt or troll hunt just because their experience is different.

@prettywoo just one of those things! I need my second dose by the end of this month so just waiting patiently (not helped by being a junior doctor changing over hospitals on Wednesday so we always feel a bit unloved!!)
