To ask for your best lemon drizzle or lemon themed cake?

I fancy baking tomorrow....
I usually just make sponge, add zest and make a lemon syrup but it's not interesting me this week. Hit me with any fab recipes for lemon cake you have...

Have made this one more times than I can count. We have a lemon tree on the garden which produces a lot of fruit!

Delia's fresh lemon curd sponge. You make the lemon curd yourself and sandwich the lemon sponge together with it instead of icing. I don't ice the top. I put a lemon glaze on with candied shavings of lemon zest

Nigella’s lemon drizzle recipe never fails for me. I cut the sugar because I like a sharp cake.

Can’t recall the recipe, but a five layered lemon poppyseed chiffon cake, with lemon curd. And I add a lemon drizzle to top too

This is wonderful - just substitute a lemon for the orange. I just dust with icing sugar. Its very moist.

I used Mary Berry's Lemon Drizzle Tray bake recipe the other day - so quick and easy to do. I didn't have fresh lemons in the house so had to omit the lemon rind from the cake mix and used lemon juice from a bottle for the crunchy topping. DH and DD were queuing up for a bit before it was even cool 🤣
