Where to buy decent kids clothes

Anyone else seem to find it harder to buy decent clothes. I'm talking nice plain tshirts in pastel colours or light colours for girls . A nice pink or light blue or minty green tshirt that is plain no design is a normal length and not cropped not with the constant disney or lol or harry potter character or unicorn or phrases on a decent length shorts that aren't like hotpants . The fluorescent colours makes me think of the 80s colour. Boys tshirtsarw a decent length but the same garish prints or constant gamer or character design with dull. Colours browns blacks navy gray. Where are all the decent clothes that are plain and nicely coloured with a good length.

Supermarkets. I'm pretty sure I've seen exactly that on the Sainsbury's website.

Next, asda George, sainsburys and matalan are places I like.

JackieWeaversMum · 27/02/2021 15:12

I came to suggest Sainsbury's

MaskingForIt · 27/02/2021 15:13

Marks, Biden, Frugi, Next, Gap...

Woodlandbelle · 27/02/2021 15:15

I have recently bought nice clothes from h&m and next that have no logo. Plain blue and white striped etc. Navy with stripes - rainbow and very smart. Marks and spencer should be good for this sort of thing too.

MissyB1 · 27/02/2021 15:15

Next or M&S.
Possibly Sainsbury’s but depends on what size you need, can’t get much at all for my 12 year old ds there.

FishWithoutABike · 27/02/2021 15:20

Next, marks and some stuff in h&m is alright (especially baby stuff).

Nellythemouse · 27/02/2021 15:28

Got lovely multipacks of standard length t shirts in pastel colours/patterns with no slogans or pictures last year from Asda, they do exist amongst the crop tops and Disney stuff. If you really want an absolutely plain pastel colour t shirt though just go to Amazon and look for “fruit of the loom” - cheap, plain and all the colours of the rainbow.

I buy Asda/Tesco boys shorts for my daughter though, the girls ones are indecently short for a child who wants to climb, hang upside down etc. I think last year they were navy, red, royal blue, pale blue and yellow. Looked perfectly fine.

Kids also have a few nice things from M&S and Next.

It’s also very early in the year, shops probably don’t have full summer range out yet.

kowari · 27/02/2021 15:30

Next has nice plain tshirts

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 27/02/2021 15:37

H&M do lots of character stuff but are also excellent at plain basics like these or these

Merryoldgoat · 27/02/2021 15:38

Supermarkets, Next, Zara

Phineyj · 27/02/2021 15:40

Next (online best as more multipacks).

DarlingCoffee · 27/02/2021 15:41

It’s expensive but the sales can be good and the quality is the best I’ve found (also you can sell them on easily) - Boden

closetparty · 27/02/2021 15:42

Arket, MamaOwl, Cos all have plain clothes for kids. Better quality than supermarket items too.

ktjb39 · 27/02/2021 15:42

Next and H and M are where I get most of ours

ktjb39 · 27/02/2021 15:43

Oh and Fatface (sale usually)

Luckyrabbitfoot · 27/02/2021 15:46

I love h and m. I find they are also very good for tall, skinny children. My 6 year old DD is a 7-8 in trousers but a 4-5 round the waist and the leggings etc fit her nicely.

Caspianberg · 27/02/2021 15:46

H and m - I just bought Ds plain mint colour T-shirt and a dusty yellow summer romper

Zara - usually good for materials and colours

M and s / next - good for underwear and pjs and basics

Snally82 · 27/02/2021 16:08

Depop or eBay - then you can search for exactly what you want. Often barely worn or nwt

demelza82 · 27/02/2021 16:16

H&M always

Kittybelle123 · 27/02/2021 16:17

Uniqlo do great plain stuff for kids and I've always found the quality to be fantastic.

JesusAteMyHamster · 27/02/2021 16:18

H&M sell packs of plain, coloured tops.

theorangesisters · 27/02/2021 16:23

Vinted, Depop and Ebay are great for clothes, as you can search for what you're looking for.

crazyontheweekend · 27/02/2021 16:26

Arket fits your requirements.

Also Polarn O Pyret.

kunterbunting · 27/02/2021 16:27

I used to buy all my children's clothes from Mini Boden (also JoJo Maman Bebe when they were very small). Next occasionally had some decent things - plain t-shirts and shorts.

Boden quality used to be second to none (could easily be handed down through four children), though I'm not sure what it's like now (I think more of their stuff is now made in China).
