I thought that today in Wales, specifically in the Principality Stadium was the most best day. Wales are Triple Crown winners, anyone who thinks differently is WRONG.

@Fuckingcrustybread 😆

MiddlesexGirl · 27/02/2021 21:58

@MarieVanGoethem

It’s as if Browning walks among us... Hmm

YABU not to acknowledge your view is entirely subjective OP.

That said, @ThePlantsitter is clearly all sorts of wrong about there being better places in the world than Lewisham: multiple-times winner of the Twitter World Cup of London Boroughs; where the sovereignty of the people is recognised even on the bins; & home to an enormous cat (that technically ought to be a cow, or possibly several cows). Wink

Lol! You've reminded me I once had to design a logo incorporating that crown! Hilly Fields in spring is nice Smile
FredSoftly · 28/02/2021 00:07

Yesterday and today proved how right I am.

The rest of the Uk is good too, especially Scotland.

Rollmopsrule · 28/02/2021 01:20

I agree Op. I love our seasons. We are very lucky they are so defined.

SunscreenCentral · 28/02/2021 02:06

The Emerald Isle, nothing compares ☘️

Today?

All 7 minutes of it? Grin

It's far too cold and wet for me I'm afraid. Give me a glorious Australian beach on a scorcher of a sunny day any time! Also for the Lake District lovers, every time I visited it absolutely pissed down with rain! Same in Kerry. If I have to pick somewhere in the Northern Hemisphere though I'will go for West Cork or a Greek Island over a soggy English spring.

peak2021 · 28/02/2021 07:19

England on a sunny autumn day (and Wales and Scotland) can be beautiful too.

sashagabadon · 28/02/2021 08:06

Yesterday was indeed lovely! Not enough in bloom yet but it’ll come. Lots of birds singing.
I read an article by Chris Packham yesterday but the Times. He says Spring is our most reliable season as it depends more on day length than warmth or sunshine. So everything starts growing at the same time every year.

Testingtimesheet · 28/02/2021 08:27

YANBU! The sun over the river, a gentle breeze tickling the newly budding daffodils, the case of a bird as it spies something glistening in the water, the myriad colours of wildflowers and the smell of grass, flowers and hope. A young world bursting into life. I love spring!

Testingtimesheet · 28/02/2021 08:28

Caw not case

You pedant! 😁

OK ... Friday and Saturday proved me right as I'm sure today will too. Actually, I'm just right full stop!

A young world bursting into life

Oh, I love that!

That was supposed to be a grin not a grimace 😁

AlwaysLatte · 28/02/2021 09:37

Yes, but B.C in Spring is also beautiful!

Melange99 · 28/02/2021 09:41

It was glorious where I was yesterday. I had to take my jumper off and walked in a t-shirt. The sun was warm, the bumble bees have started to bumble and the blossom and the daffs are emerging. The birds are singing their heads off too.

WWJackieWeaverD · 28/02/2021 13:11

You are, of course, quite correct and must disregard these heathen who try to convince you otherwise! Grin

FredSoftly · 28/02/2021 14:37

Thank you, Jackie 😃

It is lovely to see people emerging from lockdown into the sunshine.

luckylavender · 28/02/2021 14:43

How many places have you visited in the Spring? Hard to compare otherwise. And did you mean England or the U.K.?

FredSoftly · 28/02/2021 15:22

Loads.
And I've already said I mean England.

AtSwimTwoBerts · 28/02/2021 15:24

Oh yeah, how's a council estate in Bradford or Inner city London on clear spring day?

greeneyedlulu · 28/02/2021 15:44

You're right and I'm really looking forward to spending many a morning walking once the kids are back in school!!

MrsDThomas · 28/02/2021 19:31

Tell me you don’t love this❤️ Snowdon on the right. My walk this morning.
