I hadn't realised that QAnoners think the "Deep State" is conspiring to depopulate the earth.

Every time I think I have plumbed the depths of crazy they surprise me all over again.

More on Atlanta

Jim Sciutto @jimsciutto
More: Mayor Keisha Lances Bottoms says suspect was “on his way to Florida”, possibly “to carry out additional shootings”.
Police say suspect’s family recognized him in security video and helped ID him to authorities.

At a news conference, a law enforcement official says early indications are that Atlanta-area mass shooter Robert Aaron Long may have been motivated by issues stemming from "sexual addiction," not racism -- but he cautions that the investigation is in an early stage

@Lweji

"By "black ops" don't they mean it in the usual sense of covert or clandestine operation by government agency or the military?"

Nope. It was misuse of the term 'black ops' based on the tweets I saw. They used it in a way that meant 'black people/BLM doing covert operations to make white people look bad'.

lionheart · 17/03/2021 21:55

The either/or mentality in that statement is most peculiar.

Does the US have an ambassador in Moscow? Presumably he/she is either a Trump left-over or a Biden appointee who's barely unpacked the moving boxes?

Russia recalls ambassador after Biden says Putin will 'pay a price' for interference.
thehill.com/policy/international/russia/543704-russia-recalls-ambassador-to-us-after-biden-says-putin-will-pay-a

Russia's foreign ministry withdrew its ambassador to the U.S. on Wednesday after President Biden vowed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin would "pay a price" for his country's efforts to interfere in the 2020 election.

A statement on the foreign ministry's website confirmed that Ambassador Anatoly Antonov had been summoned to Moscow and warned against an "irreversible deterioration in relations" between the U.S. and Russia, warning such a move would have consequences.

....

White House press secretary Jen Psaki responded to the news at Wednesday's press briefing, and reiterated that Russia would face consequences over the U.S. intelligence community's assessment that Russia continued its political interference efforts throughout 2020.

"Our administration is going to take a different approach in our relationship to Russia than the prior administration," Psaki said.

There is a school of thought that white people don't need anybodies help to look any worse.

'Donald Trump's net worth dropped by about $700m to $2.3bn (£1.65bn) during his time as president, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The Covid-19 pandemic hit his fortunes hard, with Mr Trump's office buildings, branded hotels and resorts losing revenue and falling in value.

His fleet of planes and golf courses have also seen drops in their value.

Mr Trump is currently under a criminal investigation into his financial affairs and his family business.'

I bet he doesn't "own" them in any manner ordinary people would recognise.

Well worth a read in full. Covid has now cost the US more than WW2, and unlike the UK, people want a little more than a clap to show for it ...
