@Lweji

Yemen
Do we reckon Trump had the slightest idea what his administration was up to with Yemen and the arms it was selling to Saudi Arabia? Or that he cared even slightly? I'm not sure that one counts as specifically his lie.

He did veto the plan to demand they got out, but I am unsure that was a lie either.

I don't think he would have cared even if he did know, unless he profited from the arms sales (which wouldn't surprise me). Anything that didn't make him money or affect him personally wasn't worth his 'precious' time or attention.

A little bit more than a "pointy stick"

Jacob ‘QAnon Shaman’ Chansley Kept Behind Bars as Reagan-Appointed Judge Hammers His Lawyer for ‘Publicity Stunt’ Interview on ‘60 Minutes’
lawandcrime.com/u-s-capitol-siege/jacob-qanon-shaman-chansley-kept-behind-bars-as-reagan-appointed-judge-hammers-his-lawyer-for-publicity-stunt-interview-on-60-minutes/

One of the most photographed rioters on Jan. 6th, Chansley roamed around the Capitol in holding what prosecutors described as a spear and his defense attorney called a “flagpole” with a “spear finial,” in an aesthetic nod to “traditional Native American design.” The distinction was crucial in determining whether Chansley would pose a danger to the community if released, and the judge sided with the prosecution’s interpretation of the object.

“Under this definition, the court finds that a six-foot pole with a metal spearhead fixed to the top is, undoubtedly, a dangerous weapon,” Lamberth wrote. “Like a knife, it is inherently dangerous. Both objects have a sharpened point designed to inflict harm by piercing or puncturing. Moreover, a spear can inflict those puncturing and stabbing wounds at a distance, making it even more effective as an offensive weapon than a knife.”

The Republican National Committee is denying a cease-and-desist demand from Donald Trump’s attorneys, who asked the party organization to stop using the former president’s name and likeness in fundraising appeals.

In a letter sent Monday afternoon to Trump attorney Alex Cannon, RNC chief counsel Justin Riemer asserted that the committee “has every right to refer to public figures as it engages in core, First Amendment-protected political speech, and it will continue to do so in pursuit of these common goals.”

The letter is a brush-back to the Trump team, which sent a March 5 request that the RNC “immediately cease and desist the unauthorized use of President Donald J. Trump’s name, image, and/or likeness in all fundraising, persuasion, and/or issue speech.”

Yemen wouldn't have been a specific lie, but I find it hard to belive that nobody told him what Saudi Arabia was doing.
It's on his head for lack of concern at best, but it's on the head of his entire administration, chosen by him.
It's on his head when he decided to be pals with the Saudi government. Like the journalist's death.

But, mainly, I wanted to point out that the victims of his presidency weren't only the Kurds or the Syrians. We can also count the Palestinians.
Indirectly, the deaths of Iranians when the pandemic hit, under sanctions.
So much...

Roussette · 09/03/2021 08:26

Obviously Trump doesn't want anyone raising money in his name. He wants all the money himself.

Anniegetyourgun · 09/03/2021 09:20

I like how he made a virtue out of ignoring the rules, and now the rest of the party are following his example - in this case to his detriment.

"President Trump fully supports this message."
"No I don't!"
"Yes, you do."

DGRossetti · 09/03/2021 09:42

Trump can try and discredit unauthorised campaigns, but they will be dismissed as fake news.

lion
That's shocking isn't it... it's all about him, an ex President, and not the party. Or the Country

Major and Champ are no more at the WH. Sad

Major and Champ are no more at the WH

There seems to be some disagreement with this - they’re never not at the WH without Jill and she’s away at the moment. I will be interested to see what the WH actually say about this....

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 09/03/2021 16:58

There are so few shocking things to report about the Bidens that the media have to resort to rumours about their dogs. Remember the fuss about one of them looking old? (Hint: he is. Twelve years is a good age for a German Shepherd.)

EveryoneRevealsThemselves · 09/03/2021 17:59

That QA shaman twat has to stay in jail until his trial. His and his mum’s recent interviews have not helped his case. Weird that.

Oh the irony

Former President Donald Trump is set to fulfill his civic duty as a private citizen and vote in the town of Palm Beach's municipal election.
Despite his false claims about mail voting during the 2020 election cycle, Trump requested a mail ballot on Friday for the third time in his Palm Beach County voter history.

Another article on Trump's fund raising

www.vox.com/platform/amp/22321215/trump-rnc-cease-and-desist-fundraising-feud-purge

Libowitz explained to me that since leadership PACs have “very few restrictions” on how money is spent, he expects “to see a lot of this money going to Trump companies, and I have to imagine it’s just part of the grift.”

Trump could use the money to hold events at his hotels, for instance. But there are other ways it could flow back to the former president.

“There aren’t a lot of restrictions on travel expenses, so he can rent his own plane for himself and pay himself to fly around the country,” Libowitz said. “He can pay Ivanka and the rest of his family very large amounts as consultants for the PAC. He can rent office space for himself.”

Libowitz said he’ll believe Trump actually plans to use the leadership PAC funds to help MAGA candidates when he sees it.

“I think the question is: Is he the kind of guy who has a hundred million dollars in the bank and then will spend it to help others who couldn’t necessarily turn around and help him, or is he the kind of guy who will find a way to direct that money back to him and his closest allies?” Libowitz said. “Traditionally, Trump is the latter.”
