He changed it at 6am this morning. He woke early checked Twitter, saw the absolute fury of everyone and changed the flight from Saturday 5pm to today.

Things like this - to me - show me what a person is like. How he thought he could do this with no backlash, god alone knows.

Ivanka Trump will not challenge Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) for his Senate seat in 2022, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to The Hill.

The New York Times first reported the development on Thursday, citing an unidentified source who told the newspaper that Trump was not considering a Senate bid, despite rumors that she would primary Rubio in the next election.

"Marco did speak with Ivanka a few weeks ago," Nick Iacovella, a spokesman for Rubio, told the Times. "Ivanka offered her support for Marco's reelection. They had a great talk."

Rubio, who was first elected by the state back in 2010, will be running for his third term in the Senate next year.

The Times's source also said that Rubio's office asked for Trump not to address rumors about a Senate campaign until she and the senator could do a joint event in April.

According to the newspaper, Iacovella said there were discussions about an event, but would not say if Trump was asked not to discuss the Senate rumors.

Rubio and Trump's father, former President Trump, had their differences during the 2016 Republican presidential primary campaign, but they were friendly after he was elected to the White House and during his four-year term.

Former President Trump and his family have moved to Florida after he lost the November election and are living in Palm Beach at his Mar-a-Lago resort.

Although there have been rumors about former President Trump and his children's future in politics, no family member has announced any plans to run for office.

This whole thing is just a reminder of what Doofus has taught many politicians: You can do whatever you want then just lie your way out of it and your loyal fans will swallow the lies hook, line, and sinker and make excuses for you. If your lies bite you in the ass anyway, chances are no one will really do anything about it.

Cruz is nothing more than a Doofus-wanna-be. Unfortunately for him he's not as sneaky and doesn't have a loyal group of sycophants willing to cover for him.

They shake hands today, but when events get hot for the mid-terms Ivanka will find some reason why (probably having to do with 'my father's legacy') she 'can no longer support Rubio', and in fact is running for his seat herself. Then Doofus will endorse her and Rubio will be dead in the water.

I remember reading about the time after Pearl Harbour when the USA pivoted to putting all its remarkable energy and 'can-do' philosophy into the war effort. Tent cities sprang up practically overnight around Detroit to house workers drafted in to convert factories to making tanks instead of cars.

But that was under Rooosevelt, who thought nationally instead of trying to shift responsibility to individual states and playing politics by putting red states in competition with blue states for PPE etc.
