Where do you shop for your little ones wardrobe?

Gap for everyday clothes; bennetton and jo jo mamam Bebe for dressier everyday wear; and la coqueta for occasion wear.

Underwear and onesies from M&S.

I really like these options as I feel they wash well (i.e. there will be minimal fading/ distortion/ creasing/ largely tumble dryer safe); they typically have plain designs/styles which suits me and my kids; the colours/ patterns used are what I like as I like plain, standard colours and stripes/polka dots; they are typically very good quality so I don’t have to have masses of clothes.

I’ve tried other stores/brands/ price ranges and it just didn’t suit - maybe didn’t wash well/ decided against the style after one wear and it was a waste of money/ didn’t match well with other items/ too much effort to wash and iron.

I’m a fuss pot when it comes to clothing although to look at me and my kids, you would think little imagination goes into our outfits but they are smart and wear well.

Bringallthebiscuits · 09/02/2021 01:12

Usually I go to a local kids charity shop but since lockdown I buy from M&S, JoJos, Frugi (in their sale), Little Green Radicals (in their sale), Blade & Rose for leggings and some small brands like Project Panda.

onetwothreeadventure · 09/02/2021 01:15

Mostly Zara. Sometimes Gap and H&M and also Yes Bebe and Babipur.

namechangetheworld · 09/02/2021 01:24

Jojo Maman Bebe and Boden for nicer outfits, because I like the styles and their clothes wash really well. Next, John Lewis, M&Co and Sainsbury's for everyday stuff. I liked M&S when mine were babies but I find the older girls clothes quite ugly.

Morituritesalutant · 09/02/2021 01:28

Tesco, Asda, sainburys, H&M, next mainly.

Jojo maman babe is expensive and I don’t find the clothes that great especially with babies and toddlers

MaryShelley1818 · 09/02/2021 01:35

I love TU at Sainsbury's. Also GAP, Next, Tesco, ASDA. Wouldn't thank you for the overpriced Boden/Jojo stuff but lots of people love them.

Sciurus83 · 09/02/2021 04:15

Frugi sale, Next, M+S, Sainsburys

minnie465 · 09/02/2021 04:26

Next, H&M, Sainsbury's are my favourite. However since last lockdown I signed up for delivery for a year from next (£20). So handy. So have been ordering all his stuff from there as don't go shopping.

EspressoExpresso · 09/02/2021 04:29

Frugi, villervalla, Toby tiger, kite, maxomorra mainly, with a few leggings thrown in from asda and sainsburys

Mrscutesmummy · 09/02/2021 04:44

If I'm honest, matalan, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Costco, Primark for most stuff. the odd JoJo item too. I get gifted quite a lot of Toby tiger and blade and rose.

whatswithtodaytoday · 09/02/2021 04:55

Next, H&M and M&S for new stuff/basics.

Jojo Maman, John Lewis and Boden off eBay for cute designs and more special bits.

strawberriesunited · 09/02/2021 04:57

Are blade and rose leggings any good? Do they wash and end up bobbly? I keep seeing ads for them and think they're lovely but worried about after they wash! ThanksSmile
WellPlayed · 09/02/2021 05:35

Judging from the other responses I'm a tight arse then Grin Predominantly I buy from Sainsbury's and Asda, sometimes Boots. I have dungarees from M&S too as they often do 3 for 2 on items. I also have bought more expensive items (snowsuit from Debenhams) but second hand from FB. The most expensive thing I do buy is Clarks shoes and they fit and wear so well I don't begrudge it.

veejayteekay · 09/02/2021 05:49

Mostly I go to supermarkets simply because I know most things will get dirty and ruined and don't see the point of getting expensive stuff. But I actually find the supermarkets do really lovely stuff these days. I will occasionally get things in M&S or Next if they're particularly nice

aliceandroo · 09/02/2021 05:57

Honestly I have so many friends and family with older children that I have barely bought any clothes for my two and have a lot of hand me downs. My mil often gifts me eBay bundles as well. I pick up any new clothes I need from sainsburys and next and occasionally gap and Zara because I love their clothes but, as much as I love clothes and dressing up my children, I feel guilty spending loads of money on things they grow out of so quickly. I always buy Clark's shows though.

BlueYellowWhite · 09/02/2021 05:59

Asda, Primark and matalan with a bit of sainsburys too. I got loads of stuff for our holiday in the sale at H&M but wouldn't shop there at full price.

Next in the sale too, I've bought anything full price from there.

MingeOnFire · 09/02/2021 05:59

Not as tight as me @WellPlayed, I get nearly everything second hand on eBay! I get the occasional thing from Sainsbury's or Morrison's as I like both their clothing ranges. Always Clarks shoes though.

WellPlayed · 09/02/2021 06:07

@MingeOnFire I've just bought a bnwot pair of Clarks on eBay. Saved £15 over all on them and they are in perfect condition. Strangely never thought to buy clothes from there though! I'm off to look thanks.

Hoplop · 09/02/2021 06:10

Frugi and Kite mainly.

RosaBaby2 · 09/02/2021 06:10

Next for staples like pants and socks. Duns, Maxomorra, Dear Sophie, Frugi for everyday wear.
Love Boden coats too.

Lemonlemon88 · 09/02/2021 06:30

Very cheap/hand me downs for nursery and then a mix of zara kids or more expensive brands for non-nursery days.

DemolitionBarbie · 09/02/2021 06:35

If I buy something new, then John Lewis or m&s.

But for the most part they're dressed in bundles I get secondhand off eBay or gumtree, plus whatever bits family buy them.

I hate the feeling of spending money on something new for DD that she then refuses to wear, so I go secondhand. Also that way I don't care when she trashes something!

Pumpkinpops · 09/02/2021 06:38

For babies/ toddlers I have bought a lot from Sainsbury's TU. Odd things from Next, M&S and La Redoute which are better quality. I was given a few Petit Bateau things are they are really very nice and have lasted very very well. I have kind of gone off the Jojo style but I used to buy the odd thing from there.

I have a 4 year old as well and I've pretty much given up with the supermarkets for her as the quality isn't good enough when the clothes need to last longer than a few months (before they grow out of it). I get her stuff mostly from Mango, Boden, M&S and Next.

MsSquiz · 09/02/2021 06:38

Mainly Next, with bits from Boots, Asda, Matalan, Peacocks, Sainsbury's, Zara, Gap, H&M.

She gets gifted things from Jojo, Boden, John Lewis & M&S.

@strawberriesunited DH bought her 2 outfits from Blade & Rose and she pinky wore them once. I found they are made for long slim babies, and DD is definitely a small and chunky baby 😂

shouldistop · 09/02/2021 06:39

Next / Gap / JoJo / M&S
