Nothing grabs my attention any more , no good juciy contraversal threads, no fighting , no deleting , no good old fashioned debates . Is it me or what ?

Oh Desi , I thought my time travel one with you and your bird soaring above the 4th dimension was a bit different.

(my brain still hurts btw).

Desiderata · 01/11/2007 13:40

Ah yes, Slubber. Now that was a quality thread. I do apologize ...

CatIsSleepy · 01/11/2007 13:45

sounds intriguing...must have missed that one...

desi you are a shining beacon of non-dullness

(and slobber)

JeremyVile · 01/11/2007 13:47

You see, when I go through my phases of finding MN a tad dull, I would absolutely not post to that effect.
I realise that when it's boring to me it means theres nothing grabbing my attention.
I would not take it to mean that it was, in general, boring. (My arrogance doesn't stretch that far).
And on another point, I think these threads are pretty insensitive, many people will have posted recently about very personal, very worrying issues - how might they feel when they see this op?

StrawberryMartini · 01/11/2007 13:49

Well I tried to create an interesting thread about dreams. But it failed dismally. Should I do another lesbo one?

Slubberdegullion · 01/11/2007 13:50

So what else doesn't MN do?

Have we ever had a thread on um um um

aha

How to layer a hedge

or

What is the nature of Genius?

JeremyVile · 01/11/2007 13:56

Well, theres one on time travel....thats pretty impressive!

shall I bump my time travel one then?

I still don't know if time is an entity or perception, or both, or neither.

Slubberdegullion · 01/11/2007 14:04

Doodledoo. you could try, but you'd have to word your thread title oh so terribly carefully.

And ask in your OP if the thread could be a reasoned discussion and not a giant scrap, and that there would be no judging going on oh no.

But it would kick off. It's inevitable.

JeremyVile · 01/11/2007 14:11

That was yours, Slubber?
I have it on my watch list - I'm saving it for a day when I find it boring on here (which I WONT be posting to say)so then I can savour it

JeremyVile · 01/11/2007 14:13

Doodle, I'm liking your style....

But dont! It would be a nightmare - or, you know.............

...........do

Jeremy, don't read it if you suffer from insomnia. I have had a week now of lying awake thinking about cosmic threads and conciousness in the 5th dimension.

Cantbearsed · 01/11/2007 15:46

How boring is it to post on a thread that you think is boring ?

Fascinating.

hunkermunker · 01/11/2007 16:50

Doodledootoo, Tiktok posted a link on the recent Boots thread for a forum specifically for support for mums who felt like you did - perhaps you could post there as it sounds like you might be able to help women who are the "sharp end" of their decision, so to speak?

Not keen on the snidey asides which assume judgement, really. Nothing could be further from the truth from me, I assure you, and I know the same's true for a lot of women who automatically seem to be considered "the enemy" on this subject

hunkermunker · 01/11/2007 16:51

Here's the link

Aw, thank you, DDT, that's lovely! Perhaps have a browse of that link and see if there's anyone you can help with there. I really, really can't see the point of being smug or judgey about feeding milk to babies. Helps nobody, causes bad feeling all round and doesn't move things on at all.
