i have wanted for ages.
i still want.
i wonder how to go about it without
a) spending £10million
b) getting involved in the porn industry
c) ending up on the internet
d) being looked at on the internet by ds's teacher who i am convinced is the kind of man who gives his credit card to porn chat rooms.

answers please ladies!

I don't think it's unreasonable at all.

My friend is a semi-professional photographer and needed some nudes for an exam. I posed for her because no one else would, and I trust her, and knew she wouldn't show anyone else - and they were actually really lovely! Black and white, arty, no flange shots, and i'm really glad I've got them to look back on when it all goes (even further) south. Wish I'd had some done pre children now.

kellybrook · 01/11/2007 20:28

where will i keep it??
er not sure really,
if its really lovely then poss in frame in HUGE print in living room.
if vile then poss in teeny photo album under bed.

am going to do this.

have decided.

am getting fatter and uglier and older every single day so its now or its really ugly.

I think it's rather a nice idea

kellybrook · 01/11/2007 20:33

catsmother -...bit of a leftfield suggestion..but maybe we could do it together?
not in the same pics obviously, but we could hold each others hands to make it all a bit more morally supported for each other?
what do you think? i am determined to do this now. i love mumsnet!

for a hairdresser

when I was a moggell for about a day cos I was crap

hmmmmmmm to doing it now, maybe if I could lie down and cover crepey tum

I would go for painting over photo tbh

zippitippitoes · 01/11/2007 20:37

i have naked pics of me on my phone lol

PrincessGoodLife · 01/11/2007 20:37

Friends of ours had a professional photo taken of themselves naked (pre kids). They used to keep it in their living room...and then they moved it to their kids' room. Sometimes it was difficult to know where to look!

Eowyn · 01/11/2007 20:37

here's a confession, I had a go at doing this myself with the digital camera on timer setting. Had to delete an awful lot & ended up missing my head off otherwise the look of concentration was most off-putting. But i think I'll have to delete them as fear of parents ever seeing them, let alone dd is a bit overwhelming. t'was an enjoyable pastime mind you...

PrincessGoodLife · 01/11/2007 20:38

really hope she doesn't come on here

BroccoliSpears · 01/11/2007 20:39

I think it's a nice idea. I wanted to get a (tasteful) black and white photo portrait of myself done for dp when I was younger, but bottled it. Again, wish I had had some professional shots of my bump while preggers with dd1. Do it. Better to regret something you've done than something you haven't.

Santasmissyontheside · 01/11/2007 20:42

I had photos done for hubby as wedding present. With company FYEO for your eyes only. I've done loads of bits with them and they're about to use of on there site! I have pic up in my lounge. I was in company mag few months back. Think there is some here? The company were fantastic they're all women and done tastefuly too! Highly recommend them!

freakypenguin · 01/11/2007 20:43

I did life modelling for a 'talented amateur' painting class run by my landlady when I was a student.

One of the paintings was brilliant so I bought it on a whim, and now it is framed above our bed. I gave it to DH after we were engaged and he really liked it!

Life drawing classes are really chilled and relaxed - I think if you want a nude of yourself you should volunteer as a model at one - you do get paid and it's incredibly relaxing.

PrincessGoodLife · 01/11/2007 20:50

the friend I was talking about in my previous post

TheBlonde · 01/11/2007 20:51

I thought they looked good

There was also a place in West Ken where they would do your glamour portfolio should anyone require that (not used them myself)

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 01/11/2007 20:51

Kellybrook, I'm in North Wales, but don't worry, I can work from photos! In fact I usually have to, live models are expensive and unpaid ones are fidgety lol

All I would need are some decent photos, the larger the better, in good light, and idea of what you wanted/expected.
