Ah yes @Nicolastuffedone the 'What should I call jalapeño's sibling?' I don't bloody know, pick a name you like and use that maybe? Madness.

Do people really chose names because they 'match? Do they realise that their children are individuals and will go out and lead independent lives, and are not a 'curated' dressing for their life?

Sheleg · 06/02/2021 19:37

"Maybe he has dementia"

"Maybe she is autistic"

JaimeLeeCurtains · 06/02/2021 19:41

'Where can I buy super skinny size 6 jeans for my super willowy 5'10" super popular DD who is going to Oxbridge to read Smug Studies at Smugsdottir College?'

I dunno, maybe try a shop?

Stringsandthings · 06/02/2021 19:42

"log it with the police"

sadpapercourtesan · 06/02/2021 19:43

Aaargh, that one winds me up so much.

"My dh is a selfish, amoral, lay cunt with a cruel streak"

"Could he be autistic?"

GRRRRRRR

lightand · 06/02/2021 19:45

"What do you see in him op"?

"I am sorry it is a DM link" "Sun newspaper link" "Guardian link".

ShrikeAttack · 06/02/2021 19:46

Or indeed @Swiftjogger, 'Man here!', and then they are perplexed when they get eviscerated.

It's not the fact they're male, there are plenty of male posters who've been around for a long time, it's the announcement, as though they are a rare and valued beast who should have their words taken with special weight because they've done us all a favour by popping in to clear up our erstwhile confusion on all manner of things.

Cheers pal.

Competitive over-eating

JaimeLeeCurtains · 06/02/2021 19:50

Yeah, no-one ever brightly pipes up with 'Twat here'.

Maybe I will.

ilovesooty · 06/02/2021 19:50

When it's suggested that someone talks to someone about a problem they're always told to "sit him/her down"

Can't they have a conversation without wrestling the other person into a chair? Grin

ilovesooty · 06/02/2021 19:51

@JaimeLeeCurtains

Yeah, no-one ever brightly pipes up with 'Twat here'.

Maybe I will.

Grin
Swiftjogger · 06/02/2021 19:52

@JaimeLeeCurtains

Yeah, no-one ever brightly pipes up with 'Twat here'.

Maybe I will.

Same, I am going to try that.
Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 06/02/2021 19:52

Any wedding costing more than £200 will end up in divorce.

No one likes baby showers, birthdays, christening or wedding parties. NO ONE.

Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 06/02/2021 19:53

@JaimeLeeCurtains

Yeah, no-one ever brightly pipes up with 'Twat here'.

Maybe I will.

I remember one poster saying that they were banned because they called themselves a twat 😂
Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 06/02/2021 19:54

Anyone posting happy photos on their social media is doing it for validation and is hiding a miserable and depressed real life.

Swiftjogger · 06/02/2021 19:58

@Iknowwhatudidlastsummer

Anyone posting happy photos on their social media is doing it for validation and is hiding a miserable and depressed real life.
And their husband is having an affair and they are deeply in debt.
ShrikeAttack · 06/02/2021 19:59

@JaimeLeeCurtains, 'Yeah, no-one ever brightly pipes up with 'Twat here'.

Lolz.

TBF most of them don't need to...

Iknowwhatudidlastsummer · 06/02/2021 20:09

Children must be in bed by 6pm but whatever time they go to bed, they WILL be up at 5am. It's a biological MN fact.

always makes me laugh that one.

Staffy1 · 06/02/2021 20:10

It gives me the rage.

fucknuckle · 06/02/2021 20:10

only people whose family have had dogs going back fifteen generations are allowed to own a dog. people who have never had a dog before but would like one must adhere to strict rules:

you can’t buy from a breeder unless you have researched them for five years, passed a rigorous home check and been on a waiting list since 2003.

if you buy a dog by any other means you are a dog-hating, vociferous supporter of puppy farmers and shouldn’t be allowed to own a dog.

you COULD rescue a dog but are you sure you could cope with it? i don’t think you could, especially if you Don’t Understand Dogs Properly. you can’t Understand Dogs Properly unless you’ve owned at least four previous dogs, so don’t think a rescue dog is going to get you one any faster.

and nobody leaves their dogs alone for more than ten minutes a day without a dog-walker, family member or behaviourist stopping by.

batshit.

@Tuscadero

'My 9 year old is still in a rear facing carseat'
🤡
ShrikeAttack · 06/02/2021 20:15

And everyone who responds to another woman in a negative way is jealous.

Maybe they just don't like them.

It's a bit playground denouncing people as jealous, life's a bit more nuanced.

If people don't like me, I just assume they don't like me. I don't ascribe mad motivations to it. We don't all have to like each other.

firstimemamma · 06/02/2021 20:16

Any - literally any - problem to do with a baby can be magically fixed by using a sling.

@user1493494961

Batch cooking.
I hear you... it's the solution to all of life's questions. If I bloody batch cooked everything then I'd only eat the same food every few days.
