Yes they are good awful, but from Nationwide’s point of view their building society is now being discussed on mumsnet. This means that nationwide will be one of the first buildings societies people who read this thread or remember the crap adverts will think of.

They don’t care if you like the advert they just want to be the first place you think of when it comes to mortgages.

Maybe a good point that a shit/annoying advert makes people talk about it, but still, it doesn't make me want to buy the product. In fact, it makes me want to avoid it more!

I don't see the ads anymore as I just used to see them at the cinema. I had a pass and went weekly if not more. I've actually had a thread on here about how annoying the adverts are. So I agree.

They are so fucking twee and spoil poetry and spoken word. I think the TV ads are the same as the cinema ones. I found the cinema ones really smug too.

I totally agree op. I find it particularly irritating because they are closing my local branch (despite saying they wouldn’t).
The reason? Because they can’t afford the costs to bring the building up to scratch. Except they can afford to spend millions on wanky adverts

What's worse is that other brands have adopted the godawful style too. They're the worst adverts ever (Perf with Surf being the exception, potentially!).

YANBU I absolutely loathe the nationwide adverts and also mute them when they come on (glad I'm not the only one!)

I saw one on Yesterday for Pure Wick. In the daytime. That's my current WTF did I just watch ad. Genuinely thought it was someone holding a vibrator at first.

Yanbu. The "I can share sunrises with you" one was THE WORST.

Yesss! My DH calls me into the room for laughs every time it's on just because it winds me up so much.

I hate them! It feels like they are on all the time too.

Genuinely the worst adverts on tv at the moment and make me not want to bank with them.
