Aibu to be a bit pissed off to spend a couple of hours making a lovely roast dinner for my family and to have all the dishes and cleaning left to me to wash up too?

Ive done the roast and I'll do the dishes tomorrow cos DP has been at work cooking all day in a residential home, which is obviously a bit stressful right now. Soak the trays and pans and leave rest til tomorrow and relax i say!

OP,
Really not a good habit to be setting but I would suggest that you massively simplify the meals.

Massively.

It's very poor to be doing everything at the weekends, when you are at home fulltime.

It breeds nothing but dissatisfaction and contempt.

Help yourself.
Stop it.

When I cook I tend to wash as I go but most the time my son does the dishes as its his way of getting pocket money..

In our house I cook and DP washes up. We have a dishwasher but it's a slimline due to space so fairly limited for large items

At the IL's MIL cooks and if we were to go over for Sunday lunch we all pitch in with laying and clearing the table and washing up. Their house, their rules but it's the least we can do as they've been kind enough to invite us over
