Wobbel boards

Looking for something for DDs birthday (she will be 3) and I’m considering a wobbel board. DH isn’t keen as it’s a lot of money for a piece of wood. Anyone who owns one, are they worth the money? Would you consider a cheaper alternative?

I too thought we were discussing wobble boards, like this one!
(I did think it was a bit of a crap present!) Never heard of a wobbel board before. I have been enlightened.

Me too! I am very disappointed that OP’s child will not be learning the wobble board. I was reading the answers and feeling very confused, and now disappointed that this instrument is not being reclaimed from inventor Rolf. I wanted to say just get some thin MDF from a diy place.

Rolf didn't invent it - every timber yard selling plywood knew of its existence and secretly played it during their tea break long before Rolf made it famous
