@HUCKMUCK ,something similar with one of my Uncles he met the Nolan Sisters and either very briefly dated one of them ( can't remember which one) or was friendly with them ,turned into dining out story 🤣

I’ve been in love with Robert Plant for 45 years. The movie The Song Remains the Same is worth a watch if you can find it anywhere- went to a midnight showing of that wearing my Afghan coat and purple velvet flares Grin. Also saw them at Knebworth in 1979 (I was 16!)

One of the reasons I got with my dh is becuase he has a look of Jimmy Page! He was possibly the sexiest man alive in his heyday (not so much nowadays)

And yeah, the having sex with 13 year olds put me off him a bit.

In a poll of "The 100 Sleaziest Moments in Rock", printed by Spin magazine in 2000, an incident involving members of Led Zeppelin, pieces of shark (or was it a whole red snapper?) and the lower orifices of a bound, naked groupie was in top place, more than three decades after it allegedly happened. It is just one of many such Led Zep legends.

Can I recommend the book “I’m with the band - confessions of a groupie” by Pamela des barres. She was around the whole sunset strip scene and dated Jimmy (before he went off with Lori Maddox - 13 year old he locked in his hotel room!). She is a very interesting lady and was in a band called the GTO’s put together by Frank Zappa. She slept with a lot of rock stars and her book really captures the essence of that whole scene.

It certainly helped Dave Gilmour that Roger Waters looked like he'd fallen out the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. Waters always come across as a right egotistical wazzock as well.
