Can I fly to Spain

I will probably get slaughtered for even asking but here we go. I live in Ireland and own a home in Spain. During last lockdown, March to July 2020 we stayed at home in Ireland as we were not sure of the situation. Our schools are meant to be back on the 31st January but I can't see this happening. Its all just so depressing. From what I can see I can fly to Spain and quarantine when I fly back to Ireland. Our house is on its own, private pool etc so would basically just stay in apart from going the supermarket. Is there anybody currently living in Alicante that can advise me more.

Well I have been stopped by the guardia civil every day on the school run as it meant travelling between towns (10mins)

Only because DD was in school uiform were we able to continue.

Stay at home. Don’t be a dick. Set an example to your kids and get on with it like everything else.

Essential travel work is the only exception.

It's not essential travel, so yes you're breaking the law. Unless Spain has somehow moved to being 5 k from your home in Ireland.

The Gardai at Dublin Airport are now thoroughly checking the 5km rule and going on holiday is not deemed essential! 2.5K fine can be given.
