I know you can’t see them them in person but help settle a debate !

We have 3 kids between us, 14,7 and a baby we have a 3 bedroom house in a slightly
More expensive area than the one in link but pretty local to each other.
The house I like is a bit further out than ours currently but with lovely outdoor space locally for walk: woodland animals etc but only
0.5 miles away from station.
It is cheaper than our current home and would officially mean I become mortgage free. We were looking at 4 bedrooms due to kids ages but this is a 3 bed but has 2 receptions room so thinking we could use one as a room as my DS is 14 so not a young child.
It also 2 bathrooms so that’s helpful.
DH prefers going for a 4 bed and keeping reception rooms and 2 bathrooms and closer to where we are now ( we both drive and have cars ) this would mean having a mortgage for longer.

This is the house we are looking at I think
It will be suitable he doesn’t 😅 but think he might just hate the house haha

I like the first house but no way would I live there with your mix of ages of dc, even with stud wall to make the upstairs reception a bedroom. I actively dislike the second other than the rear garden.

Keep looking!

I live in borough of Wandsworth and E. Molesey isn’t massively less.

Saw a nice cottage in E.M in the summer - 2000 sg ft for 1.5.

E.M has some stunning Georgian houses 3-6 million range. Ham is similar.

@TatianaBis some of prices are insane that’s why I am not sure obviously we would move further a field if it was possible so trying to think about ways to cut down cost to.

Forget Wandsworth, 650k = small 2 bed flat.

If Wandsworth is an option how far can you move?

Check out the house I linked above in W.Moseley. It had 4 beds + a study and a studio.

I still think on average you get more house, garden & drive in E.Moseley.

Besides the house the OP linked too isn't even in East Moseley & it's pretty small so imo the price looks right.

Sorry I think its awful.

Just one big room downstairs and that's it...like living in a very expensive bedsit. No escape from each other. I can't think of much worse tbh op, even if it had 10 bedrooms upstairs.

I’m think I’m finding it hard because I love my house.
Just looked at the one you linked and it does seem very reasonable! Cool studio to DS and DD music could go in there and save our ears !

What's your budget?

You could easily alter the top floor to create a larger bedroom with windows & a utility room...or....what I’d do is leave the part of the space with the window & fireplace as an open plan snug, then create a small bedroom with a velux, in the part of the room near the bathroom.

Exactly!

It’s a small flat in E.Molesey too is the point.

Price is area dependent not simply how far it is from central London.

I used to live just round the corner from the Crane Way property. It's nice round there. I think it's better than the other one

@savemymuu
Well see that’s a difficult question I really really don’t want to get myself in a situation where I have a big mortgage ( there is reasons and exactly why I focused on paying mine off ) which has something to do as someone not very nicely pointed out my middle DC health.
So ideally no more than 750.

Oh & forget Wandsworth , we will be moving out in a few years because I'm sick of hardly any space but for what I want I don't have the ££££££

Most of my work is London based, which is why ideally we would want to stay in London as it stands I can easily get from work to D.C school if needed.

The outside is awful.

The estate agent has stuck a table and chairs on what appears to be a shared driveway and called it a courtyard.

Next door opens straight out onto your "private courtyard" with no divider or privacy whatsoever.

The "wonderful outlook over beautiful grounds" is a view from upstairs of the playing field of the prep school next door.

This isn't a family home OP, keep looking!
