I know I’m not but I need to rant.

DP spits all the time especially when ever we are walking anywhere ie walking the dog. I complain about it all the time and he says he can’t help it but I have never once considered I needed to spit let alone in public.

I just think it’s awful manners, he’ll do it with other people around and I’m so embarrassed about it.

WIBU to push him in the lake next time he does it while we’re walking the dog?

Bloody hell. I recoil when I see a stranger doing this in the street never mind a partner.

I couldn’t be seen in public, or be with someone in private who did this. It’s just disgusting. What are his amazing qualities that allows you to overlook this?

I've seen girls and women do it, not as often as blokes though. I walk almost everywhere so it's easy to spot.
Some of my neighbours are gross.

He's spitting in public during a pandemic? What a prize. At the best of times, it's disgusting and anti-social but right now can he not engage a bit of common sense and realise why he shouldn't be doing it?
Next time look at him in absolute disgust and say loudly 'Can U Not Trevor'?

I can't imagine going out with amyone who spits. Filthy pig. And I'm from a council estate in east london surrounded by spitters. If my sons spat i'd go crazy.

It is vile and if me and my family were passing you when he did this we would find it disgusting and probably judge you the same for being with him.

Tell him you are worried someone you know might see you walking with someone who spits, and you couldn't bear the shame.
