An old school acquaintance had an 'encounter with an angelic force' quite recently and has now set themselves up online offering remote angelic healing.

Which means my FB timeline is now plug after plug after plug about how connecting with angels could enhance my life, how angelic healing can sort out my anxiety etc etc.

I muted their page but now I'm getting invites every other day to events like 'Learn about your angelic guardians' and 'Angelic healing for sleep issues'. Invites from their 'work' page and their personal page.

I actually want to scream at them now.

I'd just delete him, I don't have time for this crap. I delete friends who start MLM sales too. Gets on my nerves.

These people always prey on the most vulnerable - really depressing to think that someone who has suffered bereavement or mental health issues is being taken advantage of this way. I know some think it does no harm and may give some people hope or joy, but there is definitely harm I financially exploiting other's weakness, and potentially stopping them from seeking appropriate help.

Well quite. This is also my thinking.

But I am pretty vulnerable and it can really bother me when I'm low. I don't know how they can go from sensible person, who gave useful mindfulness advice to this:

If it was a friend or family member, I'd understand but surely you have no commitment to this person?

Ugh hate this sort of shit clogging up my timeline. Got a friend who has recently started doing a bitcoin type thing and keeps posting about it saying it has changed her life etc etc without actually saying what it is. She has been muted for 30 days. And don't get me started on Tropics either!

I have an old acquaintance who posts inspirational shit like 'a problem is only a problem if you think it is' and who is very thick skinned about sending friend invites when I have enough and delete her.

It's how I deal with some very left wing friends. I don't want to see the the stuff they post continually but they are much nicer in real life!

No, better to say that you have been encountering angelic forces for years and you thought everybody had. You are can't understand why they have waited so long to get in touch with your friend!

Easy enough to unfollow. I have never blocked anyone but unfollowed someone whose life was even more boring than mine (yet she posted constantly) and another, not so much for her political views but, because she made out that uf anyone who didn't share those views it was because they were too stupid!

The problem is that the angels want to connect with you!

Tell her the angels have told you that they will only speak to you directly, they don't want to go through a third party.

I had a "friend" who was into all this stuff, it was a load of absolute rubbish and she got quite carried away ripping vulnerable people off. I didn't want anything more to do with her when I saw what she was doing and I've cut off contact.
