Interesting thread, I have no idea what some of the acronyms are though - what's b2b or CTO?

I'm an emergency planning manager for a national government body. WFH 1/2 days a week pre covid with travel or local office the rest of the time. Hoping to go back to the same afterwards, as full time home working doesn't suit me. At least at the moment I'm getting some face to face time with my team (home schooling DS in the afternoon Grin)

I'm the payroll and pensions manager for two SME's in the leisure industry. Part-time. I'm also self employed doing the same for another. I'm also retired! Because I'm disabled I expect I won't ever go back into the workplace now. I can do it all from home anyway.

@katkincake b2b is business to business (the opposite of business to consumer) and CTO is chief technology officer.

Public sector, marketing/research role. I'm able to WFH as I'm not customer facing, I'm on the computer all day either writing or researching.

Very interesting to see all of these jobs listed. You can see the social divide right here.

Solicitor. Own firm. Set up from home in 1994 and worked full time since without a break. When I set up in 1994 the internet was just taking off and the last house and this one had space to see clients where necessary but I went to see them very often too. 2020 is different and 2021 due to CV19 so I tend just to use email and telephone calls.

I remember in the 1990s writing sections of some IT books and articles about home working and the law never mind women juggling child care and work... nothing much changes.
