I've not owned pyjamas since I was a kid but I just wear joggers, too and jumper on winter evenings. Now I'm WFH I wear the same outfit, albeit with a "nice" coloured jumper (I must admit I wear a fluffy hoody when my loft has been below 14c- I've told my colleagues it's not a dressing gown)!

I have tried hard with jeans but hate the feel of the fabric against my skin, and for some reason all I have is skinny or slim leg, and I hate the fabric clinging to me. I can tolerate them if I'm going out in public, back in usual times I'd wear them all day, but I'd immediately change into joggers once home.

I have taken to wearing thermals under jeans and that helps. But I think i need some loose fit jeans 🤔

Chocolatecake29 · 12/01/2021 10:27

Yep, I'm usually in my PJs by that time. Once DD is asleep, I usually do a quick yoga session then put my pyjamas in and switch off from the day!

I'm clearly odd. My bras are all comfortable and so are my jeans (traditional non stretch denim too). I don't feel the need to wear "loungewear". Don't think I have any actually.

5pm.

Bra off.

PJs on.

TeaOneSugar · 12/01/2021 12:47

I've always changed into PJs after work, even before WFH, unless I'm going back out. I've been WFH since March and practically live in them now, as does DD, we both have lots of pairs and still shower and change as we would normally but why not be warm and comfortable? I pop a different top on or a sweatshirt over the top for work calls where I need to have my camera on.

Ahhh, don't knock it until you try it. I'm comfortable in day clothes too, but there's comfortable and then there's 'Ahhhhhhhhhhh!' (Think the Bisto ahh, not the Tarzan one.)

God you'd all hate me then. I drove to my sister's today in my PJs to drop a couple of things off. I don't think anyone noticed or cared (plain black bottoms with a t-shirt and my uni hoodie on top)

UntilYourNextHairBrainedScheme · 12/01/2021 15:17

QuestionableMouse why would anyone hate you? Its more a mutual bafflement I suspect - those who can't wait to put pyjamas on don't seem to believe that pyjamas aren't essentially what everyone wants to wear as much as possible, and those who don't change into pyjamas whenever possible don't understand the attraction or the claim that wearing pyjamas is the only way to feel comfortable.

Pyjamas are not especially warm - driving about in pyjamas doesn't sound comfortable, it sounds drafty! I do wonder what the people who see pyjamas as warm wear on a non work day outdoors at this time of year! I'd have hyperthermia if I was wearing pyjamas at the moment, waiting in the car for my son outside his occupational therapy appointment in temperatures well below freezing!
