To think that she should just stop commenting on my name?

I've been part of this local tight-knit volunteering group for about a year now. Recently, there was a change in 'leadership' which is fine. I have, however, been told by her (twice!) to change my email address (it's listed in the private group listing) as it looks 'rude'!

My email address is simply firstnamelastname, with my first name being probably the most popular shortened variant of a fairly popular name. In her eyes, it contains nothing but 2 bad words which 'gives the wrong impression'. Surely people aren't that daft to not realise that it's just my name, and a well-known one at that?

I'm gobsmacked by the ridiculousness of it all. AIBU?

@WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll his name wasn't actually Tony but another name beginning with T. I changed the name for anonymity but didn't click that I picked a T name that is actually short for a different name 🤦‍♀️

I can double that- I know of a Christine Peacock married to a Christopher Peacock and they are both known as Chris, and they both volunteer at church so actions are given in meetings to "the two Chris Peacocks" and no one smirks at all. I don't get it. Surely I'm not the only one hearing someone say "the two crispy cocks" and yet everyone else around the table is straight faced.

If that was me @TodgerStrunk I would be sniggering away in the background totally letting myself down.
