grow up for gods sake, the majority of us only come on here cos we're bored stiff and just killing time till something good comes on the telly, chill out. its not like we're discussing climate change or world peace, why get so angry ! !

some of you just cant control it.

( yes, ive done it, but that was then, this is now.)

(well you could do with listening to a bit of metal )

LuckyUnderpants · 26/10/2007 22:46

i personally, would never tell someone to f*ckoff, i think its all to easy for some on her to do it as they have their computers to hide behind and in RL im sure they wouldnt be so crude (unless they were some nasty piece of work or just childish) also i think some say it on here in jest as they know they will get a laugh from their mates.
I guess with the rule with MN is not to take it too personally, which i wouldnt, and if i was told to Fckoff, which im sure i might be at some point, then depending on my mood, i might retort with something like 'sure, i will fckoff if you do me the honor of sticking your own head up your arse, opps sorry, didnt realise it's alreay there'

talulasmum · 26/10/2007 22:47

you know, the only songs i can think of quickly are the crap ones.

Ohhh, chipmonkey I've just seen this.

NO, it was a proper job, a full-blooded MN Message Deleted.

2shoescreepingthroughblood · 26/10/2007 23:47

pmsl

EmsMum · 26/10/2007 23:54

I have a problem with MN. I find it really difficult to type swear words. I tried once but couldn't get beyond "fiddlepoops".

I'll have a go ...

That would be an ecumenical issue.

see? it comes out wrong.

Tortington · 27/10/2007 00:06

i was called thick & ignorant in the same sentence yesterday by a v. well know poster. It is a rare occurance - and i can only think of ONE time off the top of my head where i actually said "fuck you". terrible to say that to someone in seriousness.

I make often general comments which involved crude vernacular. I swear often in my posts as a form of expression. there is a double standard i have found. where i make general comments a la " bunch of middle class hippies" increasingly i have found that people direct hurtful comments to me personally. When i challenge these comments? well i get " you should be able to take it custy" or " not the worst thing ever said on mumsnet"

and quite frankly i think this two faced, two tiered system that allowes certain people to get away with this unchallenged outragous. and by unchallenged, i mean by the community of mums which is mumsnet.

GreatBigHairyMonsterlapin · 27/10/2007 01:00

oh come on custy, I said calling a post arsey wasn't the worst thing said on MN. It's not quite the same as "Fuck off" or even "you're thick".

I genuinely don't believe in this two tiered system you get het up about. Who gets away with what, exactly?
