I was watching an interview with a Yale law professor who said it is possible that Trump could try to pardon himself but even if that worked it’s only a federal pardon. It wouldn’t impact the potential criminal cases in NY.

I genuinely don’t understand this mindset - I saw pictures of people with swastikas at Wednesdays riot. Their anti-semitism should not be minimised or covered up. They are extremely dangerous, are the real deal when it comes to Neo-Nazism and would be lethal to the Jewish people if they ever got near power. Maybe the people commenting aren’t actually Jewish, there are many people focused on trying to sow confusion on the net. Nobody would defend people who are a threat to themselves and their families.

A successful impeachment would prevent Trump from running for the Presidential office again in 2024.

Impeachment sends a message that inciting sedition isn't something that will simply go unpunished.

The snivelling GOP cowards in the Senate will not vote in favour of impeachment though (2/3 of the Senate need to vote in favour). Even after all this, they are still - save for a couple of notable exceptions - kowtowing to the Trump cultists.

Tellmethetruth4 Loads of the wrtiers and readers commenting have been willing to turn a blind eye to the blatant serious anti semitism in right wing circles if it means they get an ally to the Israel's government's more oppressive politics. No matter that its been consistently the Right which have made Jews lives a misery for hundreds of years and slaughtered millions upon millions.

The thing is polls show jewish people in the US support Biden and the Democrats by about 2/3rds+ so it really is the Jewish Chronicle's editorial decisions and pandering that have made it go down this scummy alleyway. Just to clarify, impeachment is the sole jurisdiction of the House of Representatives and does not remove the POTUS from office. That is done in the Senate, by trial, after the HoR has impeached the POTUS.
