I understand but this is what you would expect from countries with a history of instability. Not such a huge democracy with supposed checks and balances.
Donald Trump's four years in office, and his candidacy for the nomination as GOP candidate and then President, have shown that the checks and balances rely far too heavily on mutual respect for those checks and balances. He has actively encouraged the destruction of stability for years. He has run roughshod over all the norms of political life, and has encouraged his supporters to do the same.
The US looks like a huge democracy from a certain distance but up close you realise it's a clumsily put together raft that continues to float only because everyone continues to row desperately in the same direction, by an unspoken mutual agreement. Once significant numbers of people start pulling in different directions the seaworthiness becomes a matter of great concern.
