It's unbelievable. Hope they get it under control soon and things calm down.

1 death is awful BUT its still ONLY one death.

What has struck me watching this tonight is the extent to which once the mob got into the capitol building they didn't know what the hell to do.

They went in looking to pick a fight, but ended up just getting selfies and looking a bit bewildered.

And its remarkable that they were removed from the building with only 1 death.

The test is this evening though. Frustrations will be growing and we've already seen what has happened to the press. It will probably start to boil over in an hour or two.

In the meantime the Congress has to decide whether to vote tonight. Most will want to push for it but some will drag their feet.

Trump so so so much wanted this to happen. He knows he's lost, he will never be President again but he wanted to make sure that everyone remembered this day and he thinks that means remembering him too. He needs to get his head round that he will be remembered with disgust for generations.
