Yes

MajorMujer · 05/01/2021 06:32

Certainly would.

CountryLady1 · 05/01/2021 06:33

Absolutely!!! Who did this....

Hopeisnotastrategy · 05/01/2021 06:33

Yes.

Mogwaimug · 05/01/2021 06:33

Yup

Mogwaimug · 05/01/2021 06:33

Are they also called a Sir?

Skipsurvey · 05/01/2021 06:36

i suppose they were allowed at the time?

Rainbowqueeen · 05/01/2021 06:36

Yes

inquietant · 05/01/2021 06:37

Not necessarily. I feel the world has gone a bit mad, and now you can't argue for investment or action on anything unless you basically give up everything yourself.

Who went to Antigua? Did they follow all rules in place at the time or break rules?

I think if you demand perfection you'll always be let down. You should demand general integrity and no rule/law breaking.

Skipsurvey · 05/01/2021 06:37

i guess if i didnt like him much anyway,
mouthy so and so who has won over a lot of fans.

ouchmyfeet · 05/01/2021 06:39

Is it that Julia Hartley brewer? She's a crank

KatherineJaneway · 05/01/2021 06:39

No, I'd just be jealous tbh.

Skipsurvey · 05/01/2021 06:39

google will tell you

Nicolastuffedone · 05/01/2021 06:46

Yes.

ivykaty44 · 05/01/2021 06:52

Morgan

minmooch · 05/01/2021 06:55

Can't stand the man anyway so I'd judge him as I always do - as a mouthy twat..

But at least he's not in charge of any governmental decisions

DrDreReturns · 05/01/2021 07:10

I can't stand him either. Doesn't surprise me at all. I still can't believe he works in the media after that story he published about British troops when he was editor of the Mirror.

Aahotep · 05/01/2021 07:19

Was it allowed to travel there at the time?
If so he wasn't the only person to jump on a plane at the first opportunity so I don't see why it would matter.
Were his "holding to account" questions any good?

plg21 · 05/01/2021 07:21

Yes if they were a government minister as it's not setting a good example. No otherwise.

Yes he's a journalist but if he didn't break any restrictions, that's ultimately his choice (albeit perhaps a poor one). For me, not the same as the Kay Burley transgression.

ReallySpicyCurry · 05/01/2021 07:23

Yes absolutely, and I'm fairly live and let live, but ffs

SpiderGwen · 05/01/2021 07:28

I assume you have someone in mind, but I don’t know who.

But no, calling out the government for being useless doesn’t mean people can’t go on holiday (assuming it’s legal and breaks no restrictions). I am surprised Antigua wants tourists from the U.K. right now - at least not without isolating them or testing - but that’s up to them.

KarmaKhameleon · 05/01/2021 07:34

Piers Morgan! MASSIVE hypocrite!!Although apparently he went to his other house in Tier 3 (Sussex) before departing so that will be his excuse. People are baying for his blood on Twitter, wonder if he will respond in any way? Always so quick to judge others...

Separateatone · 05/01/2021 07:35

No. He didn’t break any rules, he was perfectly entitled to go on holiday.

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 05/01/2021 07:38

I don't think what one individual does precludes them from calling out the Government's absolutely shambolic, intransigent response to the Covid pandemic.

Different if they've single-handedly started a worldwide pandemic themselves, mishandled the response, and directly cause the needless deaths of thousands of people through their own incompetence and indifference, but I think you'd be hard pushed to pin that on PM, as much of an arse as he might be.

FOJN · 05/01/2021 07:39

Being paid to hold the government to account is very different to setting policy. Don't think it was a good decision but they clearly weren't prevented from doing so presumably no laws were broken. I'm more bothered by the expectation that anyone in the public eye should set a good example to other adults. I don't make decisions based on the opinions or actions of a rent-a-gob.
