I would support a military led China style lockdown if it helped get this virus under control.
I believe people should be fined/arrested if they break the rules.

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 04/01/2021 13:21

People who report their children, parents, friends and loved ones for breaching rules are Stasi wannabe cunts

I believe men generally view women as fuckable - thus worth the time to do the boring conversationalist type stuff, or not fuckable, thus not worth the effort.
I believe women generally view the men as 'attractive/sexy, rich (to be able to provide/afford the desired lifestyle) and interesting/intelligent' enough, thus worth flirting with, or not, thus not.

Not sure which you are, but is that how you view the opposite sex?
praepondero · 04/01/2021 13:36

Yup. Cynic, me.
When you drill down, this is what's left.
One could embellish one's beliefs with flowery fluff and deep philosophical musings, but scrape it off and see what you find.

You can be an alcoholic without it being a problem

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 04/01/2021 13:44

A lot of the opinions on here are popular MN viewpoints not unpopular ones

kennypppppppp · 04/01/2021 13:47

posh quiche from a supermarket is very nice (i got plopped on for saying this)

i am not a member of the middle class madness red jean wearing brigade who are huffing and puffing about private school fees.

gin is yuck.
mc donalds is great
fags are gooder
reality tv is a modern marvel. (mic and gemma and ferne and billie and soon to be georgia and tommy)

randomer · 04/01/2021 13:49

Dragging a sleeping child from its bed, dressing it and sticking it in childcare for 12 hours is cruel.

Danu2021 · 04/01/2021 13:57

Oh if we are doing accents, the northern irish accent is terrible. Awful.

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 04/01/2021 13:57

That being called a CIS woman is highly offensive. * I'm a woman, a biological female. End of. Dont need your stupid woke terms.*

This. Also being referred to as a 'menstruator' or 'woman who menstruates' is incredibly demeaning.

Iti's a problem for your health even if your wallet is fine
BatleyTownswomensGuild · 04/01/2021 14:01

Also:

New Years Eve sucks - even before COVID

Animal print clothing looks naff - doesn't matter how pricey the label.

A good book is infinitely preferable to a crap shag.

FoxyTheFox · 04/01/2021 14:04

Dragging a sleeping child from its bed, dressing it and sticking it in childcare for 12 hours is cruel.

And yet further up the thread it's cruel not to provide for your children and to allow them to live in poverty.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 04/01/2021 14:07

After my grandmother died at age 68 after never having touched a drop of alcohol in her life apart from a small glass of port on Christmas day - my grandfather took to drink and smoking.
He then drank a bottle of sherry a day and smoked 40 fags a day for the rest of his life. He out-lived all my other grandparents - was great fun - everyone loved him - and lived into his nineties. My sister who was teetotal vegetarian died at 33.
Makes you wonder...

surelynotnever · 04/01/2021 14:11

Its ok to leave your toddler watching a tv whilst you have a shower.

Also Troll hunting should not be deleted.

DennisTMenace · 04/01/2021 14:19

It's fine to call your child a popular name, not just one that is not in the top 1000. They are popular because people like them. New and American names are also fine.

Pukkatea · 04/01/2021 14:20

Many plastics are incredibly useful and removing them is worse for the environment.

People martyr themselves to their children and their routine too much these days. I don't think I was ever once read a bedtime story as a child yet on here it's the end of the world if some disruption cuts into storytime routine.

Not liking sports doesn't make you better than other people.

Diets do work. People who are surprised that they put weight on after a diet, when they went back to eating the same as before, are extremely dim.

Landofthefree · 04/01/2021 14:25

It’s ok to not be ambitious. You can still have a strong work ethic in a job rather than a career.

The best flavour in a Revels bag is the orange cream.

Most perfumes, aftershaves, scented candles and home fragrances smell disgusting.

RunningFromInsanity · 04/01/2021 14:27

Too far.

Not really, Just normal non-perfect people who don't think like the MN collective have determined they should.

Everyone should be allowed to bring their (well behaved) dogs into shops.

Gin tastes like I imagine paint stripper does.

Women choose not to breastfeed for their own benefit, not the benefit of their babies.

I hate having a meal out and children all over the place.
