The NHS is seriously abused by many people.

Pinborough · 04/01/2021 03:36

I like Bayliss and Harling stuff and the hate it gets on here gets on my nerves 😒

£50k is a MASSIVE salary, I don't care how long you trained / studied for to get that position, you're very well off if you're earning that and doubly so if your OH is earning the same

@Yeahnahmum
Calm the hell down.

Breast feeding past the age of 2 years old is unnecessary and I find it a bit weird.

Breast fed babies are no healthier than formula fed babies. They grow up to be exactly the same.

If you don't work, your child shouldn't be put into childcare and doesn't need to go to nursery before the age of 3, and if they do you are not a SAHM, you are unemployed.

Excluding SEN, there is no excuse for a child over the age of 3 to not be potty trained.

Greetings cards for every occasion should be banned. They are pointless, and if you get upset over not receiving a card, you need to get a grip.

It is perfectly fine for children to share a bedroom. It won't scar them, and was the norm until a few years ago before people were obsessed with owning 5 bed detached houses, with all the extras. It's all for show.

Cats shouldn't be kept as pets if you're going to let them roam day and night. It's also not cute or funny when they kill and bring home vermin and birds.

Yeahnahmum · 04/01/2021 04:15

@Thedogscollar. Besides my" go fuck yourself "it was pretty tame .

BritWifeinUSA · 04/01/2021 05:03

Giving your kids an occasional McDonald’s meal doesn’t make you a bad parent.

Joint bank accounts are a good idea.

GenevaMaybe · 04/01/2021 06:19

Sleep training works in the vast majority of cases
Exclusive breastfeeding has marginal benefits at best

IceIceLazy · 04/01/2021 06:26

People do earn over 100K (or 200K or 500K for that matter) without being fakers or fantasists. And some shock horror are also happy with their lives or have good marriages after expensive weddings.

It‘s biologically impossible to determine the sex of a fetus based on a blurry scan of a 12 week “nub“. Obviously the fake positive rate is 50% so half the time people who believe that drivel are correct.

Bella37 · 04/01/2021 07:44

I like baby showers! And loved organising one! I wouldn’t want one for myself though but I like going to them.

wherewildthingsare · 04/01/2021 07:55

You probably don't have 'very sensitive skin' and can wash your clothes with 'normal' washing powder.
You can probably also use cheap scented skin cream and also soap.

Wannabangbang · 04/01/2021 08:00

Deliberately getting pregnant in this pandemic (unless of course you have fertility issues or age is not on your side) This baby boom isn't going to help the NHS & it will be a worrying time for you throughout your pregnancy and after your baby is born. I would never intentionally bring a new life into this f*ed up world where the UK government is making a complete balls up of the pandemic. I'm scared enough for my existing dc having to go through this

CherryValanc · 04/01/2021 08:01

I'm no fussy eater - quite the opposite, but a lot of the "really nice" or "yummy" recipes suggested on here sound unappetizing. No matter how strong the claim is that everyone loves it and always clear thier plates.

FrankskinnerscRoc · 04/01/2021 08:04

Hate cats

Love Maui

ShinyPie · 04/01/2021 08:09

When somebody knocks on your door, you should probably answer it.

Beards are sexy.

You can be both a responsible adult and play video games in your spare time.

@Chillypenguin

Grey interiors can look nice.

Large weddings can be nice and in general I like weddings. Cash as a gift is my preferred option.

A new car is also nice and I love not having to worry about it passing an MOT.

All inclusive holidays are relaxing and you’d have to pay me to go camping.

I had a great time in Dubai and would go again.

Are you me?! Joking, I hate that phrase on here Grin. Mine is I often prefer teaching children with SN than NT children; most of the time it's the NT children that are badly behaved and difficult.
Otellie · 04/01/2021 08:24

Rapid onset gender dysphoria is for the vast majority, a social contagion.
It's not possible to change sex, no matter how much one wants it. It just isn't possible.
Gender identity is sexist and outdated nonsense.

paulhollywoodshairgel · 04/01/2021 08:28

People debating whether to have the vaccine or not are annoying. As are the close schools brigade

pictish · 04/01/2021 08:29

There is nothing wrong with saying ‘hubby’.

pictish · 04/01/2021 08:31

Men are free agents and can stay out past midnight if they want.

pictish · 04/01/2021 08:38

Daughters in law are often selfish, petty, egotistical madams. They feel entitled to be in control of everything, imagine everyone else has to defer to them and they treat their mothers in law like shit.
Mumsnet loves and supports them. I think they’re cunts.

Icenii · 04/01/2021 08:46

Are you or were you married pictish?

pictish · 04/01/2021 08:49

Yes I am, why?

OlympicProcrastinator · 04/01/2021 08:54

Older women who have Botox, lip fillers etc generally look better for it. I think they look great.
