@JamesMiddletonsMarshmellows I think when you're talking about something as complex as race and gender you can't apply black and whites like "All whites are oppressors of POC" or "All men are oppressors of women" because obviously you are then applying a blanket "thought" "action" "rule" on billions of individuals who all of minds of their own and can and do act in a way that is the opposite of that blanket "rule".
I think if you look at history, many white people marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, and accepted the prejudice that came with it. White people work at Civil Rights/inclusion not-for-profits, law firms, government programs, should they not allowed to be? Many white people marry POC and accepted the prejudice that comes with it, etc, and identify with their spouses and children. Should they not be part of the fold?
It's not the exact same experience, and I doubt any of them would claim they understand totally, but most POC are happy for the allies and except them into the fold.
But to suggest that they shouldn't be accepted by POC or be part of their fold (whatever the fuck that actually means) is pretty segregationist, and no good has ever come from segregation.
In some cases white people have managed to pretend to be black, based on false pretenses (completely false including made up education/backgrounds etc). Should these people be embraced? No. Anymore than any liars/fraudsters should.
As for transwomen. Obviously they do not have the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. Frankly no two women have the EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. But many will face the prejudice that women do in the workplace/world once they have transitioned, along with the prejudice that they will face with being trans, and if they are willing to fight the good fight for greater pay equality, and better access to healthcare, and education, etc, etc, etc. Then I have no issues with that. As I have no issues with support from men who also support womens rights.
End of the day it's all the good fight.
