I would say

Pineapple on pizza is decent

Dogs belong on the bed

I was proud and happy to take my husband's surname when we got married and I happily relied on his wage for a year when I couldn't work due to uni placements.

I don't like children.

I think a lot of (not all) parents are entitled and think they are more important/selfless than child-free people.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 03/01/2021 02:09

A bit of red lipstick and a pair of sunglasses do not make every woman look instantly better and more "put together" 🙄. A lot of people look shit in red lipstick, especially with no other make up, and I live in Scotland. If I was to walk around wearing a pair of sunglasses everyday people would think I was fuckimg mental, and I probably wouldn't be able to see much.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 02:13

Some women abdicate their social & political responsibilities leaving others to agitate for change. Because what really matters is taking a mans name and being a princess for a day

Bouledeneige · 03/01/2021 02:14

There are no governments in the world who have known the best way to manage the pandemic.

The NHS is not solely populated by heroes and angels. Consultants make a mint after being trained by the public purse by doing lots of private medicine for their own gain. GPs practices are profit making enterprises. And not all nurses are saints - especially the matron who told my 90 year old Dad just to go back to bed when he was crying from having soiled himself with his new colostomy bag.

Not everyone who minorly breaks the rules deserves to be reported to the Stasi. Many people who love judging others ignore their own infractions.

You don't need to wash your hair and all your body everyday. It's not good for you to remove all your natural body oils.

Bouledeneige · 03/01/2021 02:19

You can be best friends with a man even when you are both married and partners can embrace the friendship and be un- threatened by it. Sometimes a male perspective is invaluable.

Potatoespuds · 03/01/2021 02:21

That I really couldn’t care less what anyone else does (aside from murder and other bad stuff obviously). If my neighbours don’t recycle well 🤷🏼‍♀️, if my friend meet up illegally 🤷🏽‍♀️, if my colleagues wear their mask under their nose 🤷🏾‍♀️ or if my mother eats her shoes well 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll just carry on doing what I’m doing with the odd chortle maybe. I cba getting bothered and secretly plan my hopeful holiday abroad for April (coz it makes me happy 😃)

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 03/01/2021 02:21

@Bouledeneige yes. I used to work in the NHS, some of the staff were the worst human beings I've ever met.

JamesMiddletonsMarshmallows · 03/01/2021 02:24

I expect a good service when I'm a customer. I don't keep my mouth buttoned when a member of supermarket staff or a waiter is rude or gives a shite service. if I'm paying for my dinner and it's undercooked or wrongly made up I speak up. I don't think "oh maybe the waiter/chef/barman has anxiety so I'll keep quiet".

I much prefer when people ask for money as a wedding gift

ChestnutStuffing · 03/01/2021 02:24

@Poorlykitten

Oh and I think all schools should close, as of now. Schools are not in existence to provide free childcare.
Hmm, are you sure about that? I think that it might be true that they are in large part intended to provide free childcare.
Clevererthanyou · 03/01/2021 02:25

I try to live my life by not being a massive cunt but this will not go down well ...

Music and sport are both absolute tosh and provide nothing to improve the human race at all. Culture my arse.

Women are women.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 02:29

I don’t want to see a fucking gift list.No cutesy poems Just explicitly ask for money
It’s bad enough I had to attend your ghastly over done wedding with boorish guests, bland band and soggy canapés. I shouldn’t be expected to peruse a crushingly dull domestic list. I don’t care about thread count of sheets

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 02:31

Schools are not in existence to provide free childcare. I think you’ll find to an extent they are

Ijustreallywantacat · 03/01/2021 02:37

Transwomen are women
Drag is fun
Gaming is fun
100k is a bloody fantastic salary no matter where you are
I like it when my neighbours make some noise
Legalise cannabis

12frogsincoats · 03/01/2021 02:38

I have no issue with scented pads. Mumsnetters all seem to have unusually sensitive coochies.

Waferbiscuit · 03/01/2021 02:40

Many women wont 'LTB' because they don't really want to be independent and hate the idea of losing the income that men bring to a relationship. A lot of women seem to see men as cash cows.

That being a SAHM can be tiring, repetitive and sometimes relentless but it's overall a pretty nice life and preferable to, and less demanding than, paid employment.

TuxedoPantherSheHer · 03/01/2021 02:49

TWAW

TuxedoPantherSheHer · 03/01/2021 02:50

Oh and NAMALT

TuxedoPantherSheHer · 03/01/2021 02:54

And that being properly inclusive of the trans women and the men who aren’t like that ( as well as POC and basically anyone else who suffers from being systematically oppressed) is the only route to ending the oppression of women.

It’s all of us against them or divide and rule wins.

Everyone vs the racists and Everyone vs the rapists.

I hate the Oppression Olympics.

DailyCandy · 03/01/2021 02:55

The NHS shouldn’t cover IVF. Being childless isn’t a medical condition.

Flappynewywa · 03/01/2021 02:55

Ghosts do exist
And
Woo stuff in general is real

"No" isn't a complete sentence in a lot of situations (though it is a very useful mantra)

SquarePeggyLeggy · 03/01/2021 02:56

@noirchatsdeux

Many men would be quite happy not to have children and only do so because their partner wants to.

Many women regret having children and don't find it enjoyable or fulfilling at all.

I agree with both of these.
strangestranger · 03/01/2021 02:56

I thought Fleabag was a bit vulgar

Vellinbracelet · 03/01/2021 02:58

I think men are nicer than women.
Breast feeding makes me feel sick, particularly when child can walk.
Cats may poop in your garden but humans are destroying the planet.
Being trans cis non binary, all fab but shut the fuck up about it.
Other people's children are horrible.
Marmite and olives are shite.

HeelsHandbagPerfumeCoffee · 03/01/2021 02:58

Ghosts don’t exist. The paranormal and woo are frames of reference for the v gullible

SquarePeggyLeggy · 03/01/2021 03:04

Not everyone loves your dog like you do. Some people are scared. Your dog, off leash, running up to kids and people out trying to enjoy their walk or playground, is not ok.
I don’t care if “he’s friendly”. They’re all friendly until they’re not! Maybe your dog is friendly, but that doesn’t mean I want to be friends too!
The vast majority of dogs are not well trained enough to be off leash. And they smell and can be terrifying.
I have a dog! I adore her. She smells bad sometimes and other people and guests may not like her. And that’s fine! She can go outside with a bone and allow them to relax in the home. This is not an unreasonable expectation of guests.
