Shagging ‘on your own doorstep’

Shagging, casually, a dad from your kids school- I’m thinking DISASTER written all over it. My friend thinks (with her fanny!) that if they are both on the same page it’ll be a bit of fun. I think it’ll be five years of cringing on the school run or in the village shop.

There is a dad at school who I bumped in to on a swingers site and that makes me chuckle as we have both now seen each other's nethers, but I don't think it is as bad as work relationships as they can just get all kinds of ugly if they go wrong.

Why would parents be at assembly?

Oh yes assembly is on hold for Covid season, I forgot. Our school to parent assemblies normally.

I don’t see the issue but I have somewhere between disinterested and amicable relationships with my exes. I certainly never feel awkward bumping into them and wouldn’t do on the school run either. Besides, it’s a very short space of time before the children walk in and out by themselves so avoiding someone would be easy.

You can see ‘be kind’ has been long forgotten. Fortunately I have broad shoulders and thick skin but I can imagine if you didn’t this could be really challenging.

Exceptionally so, even for AIBU. These will all be people with “be kind” on their Facebook/insta pages. Sad people who need to push others down to feel significant. I hope they find what they need in life to feel ‘enough’.

Not quite Sure why people are “cringing” for OP tho ? Seems a reasonable question to ask when looking out for a mate . Sometimes these things can end up awkward - I speak from experience

My friends ex husband did this (after they had divorced) the woman fell pregnant so now the ex wife bumps into her children’s friends parent on the school run along with ex husbands new baby. Awks.

I can see that being awkward for the ex wife but it probably isn’t for the ex husband and woman. Hopefully it’s not awkward for the children concerned either and they get on well.

Fucking hell op, that escalated quickly!. This place is nuts, you never know what will 'poke the bear'. I agree with you its like shagging someone from work. It's all good fun when you're pissed on the team building weekend, not so fun on a wet Monday morning when it's all gone tits up.

Um... I think you're all over-invested. Nobody cares who's shagging whom, unless you're one of the people who's doing the shagging. And if they do care, they might need to find a more interesting hobby.
