Shagging ‘on your own doorstep’

Shagging, casually, a dad from your kids school- I’m thinking DISASTER written all over it. My friend thinks (with her fanny!) that if they are both on the same page it’ll be a bit of fun. I think it’ll be five years of cringing on the school run or in the village shop.

I’m with you OP - there’s a dad at my dd’s school who has had relationships of differing lengths with at least 3 of the mums at school (possibly shagged more - who knows?). I sometimes think it must make things quite uncomfortable at drop-offs but hey-ho, maybe they’re not bothered?
Each to their own, but it’s not for me!

Russellbrandshair · 02/01/2021 20:02

They are both single so what’s the issue here? People date work colleagues all the time- in fact, meeting at work is the most common way to meet a partner.

Sorry I just don’t see any drama here whatsoever

UsernameSaved · 02/01/2021 20:02

These days most school gates and steps have cameras on them.

They need to be careful that their cold bottoms (it is snowy at the moment) dont end up on the staffroom wall.

JacobReesMogadishu · 02/01/2021 20:02

I think work relationships are worse because it’s harder to avoid them and if it’s a bitter breakup I guess could cause issues.

Very easy to avoid someone at the school gates if you really have to. Stand a bit further away, chat to someone else, be busy on your phone....or even just say hello. 🤷‍♀️

NiceGerbil · 02/01/2021 20:03

So she's not actually shagging him, she fancies him and thinks he might fancy her too :/

Maybe it will go nowhere. Maybe they will date each other rather than go straight to casual fucking. I mean who knows?

Exactly! People who date at work spend 8 hours together! 5 mins at drop off is hardly a problem if worst comes to worse and they break up!

Not everyone feels self conscious around sex. I had a few fuck buddies who lived in the same immediate areaas me. There was no embarrassment when we finished. We'd both got what we wanted, why would there be?

LadyfromtheBelleEpoque · 02/01/2021 20:04

@Orf1abc

If having sex with someone makes you cringe afterwards, you're doing it wrong

Did you go to college??!!!!Blush

TeachesOfPeaches · 02/01/2021 20:05

My male colleague married a school mum he met in the playground and they are very happy.

SomethingRandomAgain · 02/01/2021 20:06

How old are the kids? Would it embarrass them?

The kid wouldn’t be aware as it would be a casual physical thing.

You can see ‘be kind’ has been long forgotten. Fortunately I have broad shoulders and thick skin but I can imagine if you didn’t this could be really challenging.

Thats a massive assumption.....what if he doesnt want that?

Rosehip10 · 02/01/2021 20:12

What is the OFSTED rating of the school?

NoProblem123 · 02/01/2021 20:12

I am also disappointed they’re not at it in their literal doorstep Grin

Let them get in on with it I say.

PyongyangKipperbang · 02/01/2021 20:13

Which imo would be more embarrassing than them having a bit of fun and then walking away, no hard feelings.

"Do you fancy a shag, no strings?" and he says no thank you........ WAAAAY more cringey I would think, especially as she doesnt know who he would tell.

You must be sad inside. Scroll past Miriam if a mindless post on a forum makes you so venomous.

There is a dad at school who I bumped in to on a swingers site and that makes me chuckle as we have both now seen each other's nethers, but I don't think it is as bad as work relationships as they can just get all kinds of ugly if they go wrong.
