Shagging ‘on your own doorstep’

Shagging, casually, a dad from your kids school- I’m thinking DISASTER written all over it. My friend thinks (with her fanny!) that if they are both on the same page it’ll be a bit of fun. I think it’ll be five years of cringing on the school run or in the village shop.
AIBU?

You sound like a curtain twitcher. It really is none of your business who shags who.

Bluntness100 · 02/01/2021 19:47

Gosh. Did she ask you to save her? I’m guessing not.

Are you a bit envious op? That she’s met someone?

Take a step back. She’s a grown woman.

nosswith · 02/01/2021 19:48

Not a good idea whilst Covid is still an issue. Probably not a good idea afterwards. Especially if the sex is not good.

ilovethecold · 02/01/2021 19:48

😂😂😂 just going to sit here and read the comments ' hand me doritoes '

ilovethecold · 02/01/2021 19:48

Ahh my grammar is shit , glass of wine too many .. DOH

Bluntness100 · 02/01/2021 19:49

@Minecraft4life

I guess if it was amazing fireworks it would be ok. My fear is he will turn out to be penetration man or own a penis beaker or something and then she will have to swerve him whilst doing a little sick in her mouth for the next five years.
That’s just too involved for words. I’m cringing for you
BlueThistles · 02/01/2021 19:51

Don't they have homes bedrooms etc ? 🤔

AnyFucker · 02/01/2021 19:51

Why are you so interested ?

Look after your own sex life. If they are both single, so what ?

Minecraft4life · 02/01/2021 19:52

You’re cringing for me? 😂😂😂
Honestly, mumsnet has really surpassed itself tonight.

It could easily end badly, or they could end up hopelessly in love and live happily ever after. Why the negativity?

And as long as it isnt you thats cringing, what does it matter?

I had a ONS with an old school friend that I ran into in his local pub. Then I ended up running said pub. No cringing involved from either side, because we are adults!

The question is, is he even interested?

Does he know that his future sex life is being debated between you?

She thinks he’s interested, I sense it too when they playground chat.

Love this. Did you worry about the close proximity if it went tits up?

I have to agree that I am cringing a bit for you as well.

Why do you care even a little bit? A proper mate would say "Be careful, make sure you let people know where you are, make sure he uses a condom and have fun!" Or at least that what me and my friends would do.

evrey · 02/01/2021 19:56

Not sure why everyone is attacking the op Confused Recipe for disaster in my book! the school gates are people you are stuck with for years . even a soured female friendship can be a nightmare at the school gates never mind a bloke! what is your friend thinking OP!

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 02/01/2021 19:56

I thought you literally meant on the doorstep.

Minecraft4life · 02/01/2021 19:57

“Why do you care even a little bit”
Because she’s a friend, I think it’s a bit too close to home, and I was curious as to whether I’m overly risk averse. It seems I am! I’ll cheer her on tomorrow.

Op isn't being "attacked"

How dramatic.

Glad I haven’t lost my mind. The mumsnetters are savage this evening. This is how I see it, playground cliques are tough enough but gosh the fallout from a relationship in the playground would be grim.

If this is for the Daily mail I am sure that they will tell us the value of the homes.
Jenasaurus · 02/01/2021 19:59

I always think this about dating someone at work, if it doesnt work out then you are sort of stuck seeing them every day. Having said that my mum married her boss.

Yes, urgh, if you read the ‘disaster dates’ threads on here you’d not want to be stuck three desks away for life.

I’ve had sex with numerous guys in the past. None of whom I cringe when I bump into them. One of them turned out to have a Dd in DD’s class at secondary school. (Our liaison was pre children). We managed to be perfectly polite at parents evenings, no cringing. Just an adult, hello, how are you?
