how close are you to your siblings if you have a large age gap?

Got a bit upset with DSis over this Xmas break, but no one to ask in RL. I've realized that we mostly only really see each other at our parents - about once a month - this is obviously before Covid. Not sure whether this is usual or not e.g. she meets with her BIL/SIL every weekend but they are all the same age. There is a nine-year gap between DSis and I and we sometimes joke that we both grew up as only children and am now in my 40s with two kids while she's in her 30s childfree for now.

How often do adults actually see their siblings if you live in the same place especially if there's a large age gap? And how often did you grow up seeing your aunts and uncles?

My sister is ten years older than me; she is my half sister and grew up with her father.
We're quite close, probably see each other about once a month other than this year, probably more frequently when we lived closer to each other. Occasionally saw each other at my parents, but predominantly independent of that (location, plus I didn't have much to do with my parents after I'd left home).
Neither of us have children, so no nieces/nephews.

NC with brother, who is about 20 months older than me.

Not close at all :(

No very close at all. Don't see one of them at all and the other only a few times a years.

I have two others - we are 7 years apart and my eldest and youngest siblings are 14 years apart (I’m middle) we are all extremely close - speak almost daily and if not - we have a messaging group. I don’t live in the same country anymore but we have become closer because if it.

There's 7 years between me and my younger brother, and we are very very close.

There's 4 years between me and my older brother and we get on well and speak about once a week or so, but only see each other at my mum's house. We're no where near as close as I am to my other brother.

I've got a few one who we are less then 2 years age difference and one who's a 10 year age difference. That ones so bloody annoying defo closer with the one I'm closer to in age. See them every week before covid.

I have a 21 month gap between the youngest two and a 10 year gap between the eldest 2 , they are all grown up and incredibly close.
I don’t think age gaps make a difference to closeness.
