To think tv is a letdown tonight

Given we're all stuck in surely they could have made a bit more effort to put something decent on tv.

We are fortunate enough to have Sky, Netflix and Prime... all rubbish. Some don't have the choice.

Surely they can do better

And using the word 'coal dave' to an ITU sister is laughable

justgeton · 31/12/2020 21:53

Oops. Coal face.

Twinkie01 · 31/12/2020 21:57

Songs of the 80s channel 5

zukiecat · 31/12/2020 21:59

The Steamie on the STV Player, A tribute to Billy Connolly on now, Susan Calman on at 11.30 through to midnight, Piper from Edinburgh Castle.

I think the TV is great tonight!

HazelBite · 31/12/2020 22:02

I'm enjoying "Take that" on Pick, but then I am easily pleased Grin

ssd · 31/12/2020 22:04

I'm watching best songs of the 80s on 5

I know all the words, we seen TOTP earlier I hadn't heard of most of the singers

Sparklingbrook · 31/12/2020 22:08

I said to DH I know all the words to Wham Rap (and every other Wham! song for that matter) but not what I did yesterday. Blush Grin I can place myself for each 80s song. Where I was, what I was doing-oh to go back for one night!
soundsystem · 31/12/2020 22:11

Ha zukiecat I was just coming on to say The Steamie!

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 31/12/2020 22:12

Susan Calman on at 11.30 through to midnight

She's on right now in a kind of pre-show before the main one.

the80sweregreat · 31/12/2020 22:13

I watched songs of the 80s Christmas night ., wonder if it's the same thing?
It was a run down.,
I knew all the words.,
Watching the last leg now.
It is funny

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 31/12/2020 22:15

They are taking the piss with Skyfall. I swear that's on every other week!
I'm currently enjoying the 80s chart on channel 5

ssd · 31/12/2020 22:16

Yes, to go back to one night of being 15, how would that be?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 31/12/2020 22:18

They could have out big fat quiz of the year on tonight but no it was on Boxing Day for some stupid reason. Oh and again on New Year’s Day!

If you can wait up that long tonight, it's on again on 4-Seven at 1:10am!

Oversize · 31/12/2020 22:22

Olive and Mabel were supposed to be on the Beeb at 9. The show was atrocious and they weren't on it in any case.
2020 - how many more disappointments???😭

buckeejit · 31/12/2020 22:23

Horehound · 31/12/2020 22:23

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 31/12/2020 22:26

In my day didn't have television. We had to make our own entertainment. I remember one year we had a war with Mr Hitler. Other times we played Monopoly or Escalado.

Sparklingbrook · 31/12/2020 22:27

Amazing. I was doing a weird mix of nightclubbing/drinking and studying for GCSEs.Grin Loved every minute.
Hercwasonasnowball · 31/12/2020 22:27

OP Netflix, amazon and Disney are rammed full of any TV series you could ask for. Search for what you want and watch it.

The last leg is pretty funny on c4.

sausageathlete · 31/12/2020 22:29

Susan Calman here too now, she's good.

TheAlphaandtheOmega · 31/12/2020 22:30

I'm watching Mad Men on Prime, I've been watching it all Christmas and am on the last leg now, season 7 and I'm actually still up, most years I'm in bed by ten. I did break off for Eastenders earlier though

Horehound · 31/12/2020 22:30

Your day is still now. It's not over yet!

This year's 15 year olds won't be saying that will they! I don't think I'd want to go back to being 15, it wasn't a great age TBH.
