As title says...I need some films/tv shows that will make me feel better and take my mind off it. Any suggestions please?

If you fancy more of a revenge type story - "how to get away with murder" is a very good series on netflix.

Ohtherewearethen · 28/12/2020 19:52

Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe

Dita73 · 28/12/2020 19:52

Father Ted

Ohtherewearethen · 28/12/2020 19:52

I've just binged Bridgerton on Netflix and loved that too. Hope you're ok, OP

SoggyBiscuitss · 28/12/2020 19:54

Ex wives club? With Bette middler etc

purplecorkheart · 28/12/2020 19:59

Benidorm on Netflix. Been going through a tough time (not anything like you) it is cheesy but really took my mind off things.

TammyTwoSwanson · 28/12/2020 19:59

Grace and Frankie
Schitts Creek
Parks and Rec
Suits
Marvel's Agents of Shield
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
The Good Place

They're my faves for escapism and cheering me up.

I'm sorry to hear what you're going through Flowers

madamehooch · 28/12/2020 20:01

Real Housewives were my friend

hardboiledeggs · 28/12/2020 20:03

Brooklyn 99. Sorry to hear that Op.

Aquamarine1029 · 28/12/2020 20:03

Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Ispini · 28/12/2020 20:05

Fatal Attraction!

HerselfIndoors · 28/12/2020 20:08

Legally Blonde
Monsters vs Aliens (really!)
Agree with Father Ted for just laughing your head off :o

Sorry you're having a shit time Brew

RainBow725 · 28/12/2020 20:20

Mad Men. No real romantic stuff and most of the adulterers end up unhappy which I found quite comforting!

NoZoomAtTheInn · 28/12/2020 20:28

Father Ted
White Gold
Drop the Dead Donkey
Anything by Victoria Wood

KnackeredHag · 28/12/2020 20:37

I have no suggestions but hope you're ok. What a shitbag x

Nicetomeetyouu · 28/12/2020 20:37

Thanks everyone Smile

Can’t stop thinking of them together so hoping to lose myself in the tv seen as life seems to be on lockdown for most of us. Couldn’t have come at a worser time.

X files. I feel your pain, I've been through the same x

GlummyMcGlummerson · 28/12/2020 20:38

Midsommar. It's REALLY graphic and gruesome, but just trust me

Haggertyjane · 28/12/2020 20:46

Clearly not Fatal Attraction! Apollo 13 is a good one

SillyOldMummy · 28/12/2020 20:49

It's a bit teenage-y but I just enjoyed Never Have I Ever on Netflix. Found the stereotyping a bit too much at some points, but a nice light series
.

Coroico97 · 28/12/2020 20:51

So sorry it’s all a bit shit for you. Dinnerladies on Netflix. Victoria Wood always manages to get me through the crap times.

Runkle · 28/12/2020 20:52

Dead to Me

AramintaLee · 28/12/2020 20:55

Selling Sunset on Netflix. Absolute pure escapism and fluff.

BunnyBoilerRhian · 28/12/2020 21:03

So sorry you're going through thus. I'm going through the same. Christmas has been horrendous thinkingbof them cosied up together as im here wuth no extended family facing weeks if lockdown alone.

I'm watching lots if older films Crazy Rich Asians, Educating Rita, Shirley Valentine, Devil Wears Prada, Sex in the City, Bright Jones.
Binge watching Death in Paradise as never watched it before, it does not involve much concentration which I don't have due to adrenalin and lack of sleep. Also enjoyed on Netflix Home for Christmas. Considering Magnolias.

Borgonzola · 28/12/2020 21:06

Orange is the New Black got me through a similar situation.
