Would you date a woman?

Chatting to my friend tonight (who is gay and this is relevant to the thread)

She was saying that now she’s single again she thinks that things are a lot more open and more women are open to dating women even if they’re not ‘defining themselves’ as gay. I thought it was an interesting one. I’m in a hetero relationship and have never really thought about it, but have you? Would you?

No. I wouldn’t be offended in any way shape or form if anyone asked me out with respect (even cheeky respect!).
But I’m another who wishes they could be attracted to women but definitely isn’t.

Northernsoullover · 27/12/2020 21:50

Nope. If I split with my partner I will probably be celibate.

LoveMyKidsAndCats · 27/12/2020 21:51

I wouldn't no.

OldGreyBoots · 27/12/2020 21:54

There's a female body type I'm attracted to so if the woman in question looked that way I would be interested, but in a ONS way, I can't picture a relationship with a woman.

AlternativePerspective · 27/12/2020 21:56

No,homosexuality is against the bible. presumably that’s code for “yes, but the bible says it’s wrong, otherwise I would be shagging a woman right now.” Grin

After all, if you just were heterosexual, you wouldn’t feel the need to tell people that homosexuality was against the bible given that people are asking you if you would want to be with a woman.

So presumably the PP is actually in the closet and can’t come out for fear of the church.... Grin

FraggleShingleBellRock · 27/12/2020 21:58

Yes, totally and utterly. I did experiment a fair bit when I was younger but all long term relationships have been with men. I've been married for 20 years and my OH is a good bit older than me. I know I will never ever be with another man after him. I don't want to live with another man.

But I would be totally open to a new relationship with a woman. Our companion ship. I have quite a large house and have even thought about possibly renting rooms out to single women that are a similar age to me in the future.

onemorecupofcoffeefortheroad · 27/12/2020 22:01

I was 'straight' until I was 42. Previously had numerous relationships with men - never had the least bit of interest in women sexually although had tons of female friends - then I met the "one."
I'm a very feminine/ girly woman whereas she's more on the butch/ masculine end of the spectrum.
Turned by world upside down.
That was 15 years ago - still together and married for 5 years. I like men but I don't miss being in a relationship with one.
I know it's not for everyone but it can happen.

nutmegofconsolation2 · 27/12/2020 22:02

Yes.

Shoxfordian · 27/12/2020 22:04

I’m happily married to a man but I wouldn’t totally rule it out when single, sexuality is a spectrum and I’m attracted to people not just cock

CandyLeBonBon · 27/12/2020 22:07

@givememorewinenow

No,homosexuality is against the bible.
Please tell me that was a joke?

Yes I would op.

Squeakycheese · 27/12/2020 22:11

Yes I would, i'm bisexual but married to a man and have only ever dated men. I'm much more attracted to women than to men though and wouldn't date a man again if my marriage ended.

FloresAmarillas · 27/12/2020 22:11

I think I’m straight but I find women more attractive than men generally.

Thefaceofboe · 27/12/2020 22:12

No,homosexuality is against the bible

Jesus never existed which makes the bible fiction. Soz Grin

grassisjeweled · 27/12/2020 22:13

Which Bible?

Literallynoidea · 27/12/2020 22:14

No because I am heterosexual

yahyahs22 · 27/12/2020 22:16

Nope

Thecherryontheverytop · 27/12/2020 22:16

I think it would be so much easier to date a woman but unfortunately I don't find women sexually attractive.
I think I'd feel more at ease with a woman because the men I've been with have all been controlling pricks and I have some wonderful women in my life who have literally saved my life at times.
I also think it's more likely that my 'soulmate' would be a woman as so far no man has been remotely anywhere near being that however my best friends and I can finish each others sentences.
Or it could just be that I have shit taste in men and haven't picked a winner yet.

feelingverylazytoday · 27/12/2020 22:17

No, I'm straight. I couldn't even kiss a woman let alone have sex with one.
I wouldn't be offended if a woman asked me out though as long as she was polite about it.

Ohhgreat · 27/12/2020 22:21

Yes I would
Happily married but experimented when I was younger. I find both men and women attractive so if DH and I broke up I wouldn't necessarily go for another heterosexual relationship.

PinkiOcelot · 27/12/2020 22:26

No. They just don’t float my boat.

heseesyouwhenyouaresleeping · 27/12/2020 22:29

No, never been remotely interested or attracted to women

Thankfully, if DH ever dumps me, there's no lack of attractive men. I would hate to be celibate

TheVamoosh · 27/12/2020 22:34

No. I tried missing other girls for attention when I was younger and it just felt like "nothing'. Like kissing yourself on the back of the hand. I'm not sexually attracted to women in the slightest.

TheVamoosh · 27/12/2020 22:34
  • kissing, FFS
TatianaBis · 27/12/2020 22:34

I just don’t fancy women. I tried kissing a woman when I was younger but it was pants. No stubble, no dick, meh.

Pipandmum · 27/12/2020 22:35

No
