Yup, that's it ....

I fancy a good bit of telly and have my eye on the West Wing Election special and a new netflix series - can't remember the name but eight parts of rather glorious period drama with Im hoping a wicked sense of humour thrown in.

How about you?

Genuinely interested - and also looking for some good ideas for us. Just three of us including an 18 year old daughter - so all advice welomce !

We're an eclectic bunch - DH a bit esoteric, me pretty much anything, DD loving House and Grey's anatomy and lots of teen stuff...

Would love a bit of laughter...My ideal would be a Sex Education Christmas special!!

Literally nothing on this Christmas. I rewatched Ghosts on bbc and porridge. The Ghost chrismas special was amazing. Binge Crossing swords and Rick and Morty. If anyone has anything to watch let me know I am so bored

Balaur · 25/12/2020 14:25

I'm looking forward to the Black Narcissus adaptation and The Great on C4. The Great in particular looks like it might be up your street if you like period drama with a wicked sense of humour.

Apart from that, will be continuing to watch Schitts Creek, mourning that we finished Dark and seeing what else is on offer.

Meerkatmummy4 · 25/12/2020 14:30

Bridgerton on netflix, came out today and loved all the books

loveyouradvice · 25/12/2020 15:45

I love Call the Midwife Christmas special too! But solo watching for me as the others aren't into it....

Is there literally no must-watch TV this year?

@TakeMeToYourLiar

Absolutely loved the Nativity goes Wrong on bbc 1 the other night
This was absolutely brilliant. Anyone who hasn't watched it should do so immediately.

I was looking forward to Strictly tonight but it was on in the afternoon -we don't really do daytime TV in our house.

Looking forward to Call the Midwife though.

Mendeleyev · 25/12/2020 15:51

30 years of Have I Got News for you. Was on yesterday evening and was brilliant.

HughPewBarneyMcGrew · 25/12/2020 15:57

@Mendeleyev

Ooh yes, that too!
Felt very old realising that all the Angus Deayton stuff was so long ago, and OMG how young were they all!

Gonkytonk · 25/12/2020 16:01

The Queens Gambit on Netflix has been the best thing I’ve watched in a long time.

buckeejit · 25/12/2020 16:03

Nativity that goes wrong was great - everyone should watch it.

Nothing to float my boat, will watch spin the wheel & dd is excited for the masked singer tomorrow

Moonmelodies · 25/12/2020 16:09

We found Upstart Crow pretty funny.

HouseyHouse21 · 25/12/2020 16:24

The Call the Midwife Christmas special is the one bit of viewing I look forward to every year!

SomelikeitHoth · 25/12/2020 16:37

It will be The Mandalorian without being interrupted !

Call the midwife Black Narcissist and that’s it.

Cocolapew · 25/12/2020 17:17

Watched Some Like It Hot this afternoon but can't find anything else I want to watch Hmm

TranquilityofSolitude · 25/12/2020 17:26

I'd also recommend The Queen's Gambit on Netflix. It's the best thing I've seen in ages. Motherland Christmas special was also very good.

165EatonPlace · 25/12/2020 17:27

Great British Sewing Bee. I have booked my seat and ordered absolutely no interruptions.

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 25/12/2020 17:52

We watched Scrooge 1951, very good. I have recorded Some Like it Hot this morning, l am not a huge musical fan but it's wonderful.
