I quite fancy a glass, it's been in the fridge for over an hour so far. Should it be nice and cold?

Seriously?

Youvegotafriendinme · 23/12/2020 22:29
Hmm
ApolloandDaphne · 23/12/2020 22:30

That's what ice cubes were made for.

ZipLips · 23/12/2020 22:30

If only there was a way to find out... Confused

Hang on, let me pop round, open your fridge and check.

I’ve never chilled Baileys, just used ice cubes. If you don’t have them just have it a bit warmer.

Yeah, but I don't want to pour a glass to find it's still not cold enough. I only want to drink one.

You dont chill Baileys

Do you also boil champagne?

DrMadelineXMASwell · 23/12/2020 22:36

You don't chill baileys?

I do. Easier than fannying around with ice cubes as the freezer is out in the garage but the fridge is closer.

AnyFucker · 23/12/2020 22:38

Baileys should be room temp, you philistine

And ice ? Why water down the lovely thick texture. Sacrilege.

ZipLips · 23/12/2020 22:38

I'll volunteer to be a tester for you.

Purely in the interests of helping out of course. Xmas Grin

Bluewavescrashing · 23/12/2020 22:39

I like Baileys from the fridge. When I worked in pubs most people wanted it over ice

starrynight19 · 23/12/2020 22:40

I love a chilled baileys and add ice cubes as well. Maybe do a shot to see Grin

KatyaZamolodchikova · 23/12/2020 22:40

A colleague of mine once asked me how long Baileys lasts in the fridge once’s it’s opened. Oh how I laughed!

(A week in this house, but that is not what she meant)

combatbarbie · 23/12/2020 22:41

Oh that's weird...... Def room temperature, I drink mine neat, DH has ice.

Justcallmebebes · 23/12/2020 22:42

Either Baileys in coffee or Baileys neat with 3 ice cubes. Only way Smile

BastardCancerBastardCovid · 23/12/2020 22:42

I didn't know some people like it at room temp!

OP posts:
Bezzi · 23/12/2020 22:43

I thought it was a room temperature commodity!

Wingedharpy · 23/12/2020 22:44

Reusable ice cubes prevents the dilution effect AnyFucker.

LividLover · 23/12/2020 22:45

Room temp cos the fridge is full.

Actually, mine’s Tesco £4 fake stuff and going in coffee.

Treeerex · 23/12/2020 22:50

It needs to go in the fridge. It actually thickens in the fridge. Probably full of gelatine.

I feel your pain OP. I poured what was left from our bottle in the fridge and it was just the dregs. I've had two glasses at room temperature now and it's not the same.

SarahAndQuack · 23/12/2020 22:51

I pop mine outside the back door for an hour or two.

Room temperature Baileys is too sickly for me.

Haffiana · 23/12/2020 22:51

It should be ice cold. Too sweet otherwise.

Sometimes123 · 23/12/2020 22:52

I would have put it in the fridge, but the fridge is full of a massive goose! TBH I am not worried...ice will do the trick.

LuckyAmy1986 · 23/12/2020 22:52

Room temp over ice here! Thought that’s how most people had it to be honest!
